We had to stay in Marystown for one night for a soccer tournament. The team choose the Marystown hotel. I wasn't impressed with the pictures and was even more disappointed on arrival. the pros: check in was pretty quick -- we received our keys early and headed to our room. The shower was hot. The cons: There were two towels... More

The web site says the rooms are air conditioned, well that is false advertising. I am travelling with a pet & advised when I made reservations but there was no mention that rooms that were pet friendly were not equipped with A/C. When I asked to be moved they offered a room in the basement, not with A/C but cooler.... More

Our ads & website state “Marystown Hotel & Convention Centre offers air-conditioned guestrooms” it doesn’t state we have AC in all 132 guest rooms but the gap is steadily closing. That’s not false advertising that’s letting customers know we have AC to offer, it's not meant to suggest anything more. No one on our staff should have suggested a basement... More

I recently stayed at the Marystown Hotel for a business trip. Having read the Tripadvisor reviews, my expectations were not high. When I first arrived, however, I thought the hotel was pretty average. While nothing special, the room was reasonably clean and comfortable, and quite spacious. My principal complaint arose in the morning, when I went to shower before my... More

Hi Steve S Your review has been duly noted and on behalf of management & staff I do apologize for the inconvenience you had to endure. Why an apology (at the very least) wasn’t given by our GSR at checkout is very uncharacteristic but a report of your complaint was handed to a supervisor and the problem was corrected immediately.... Had a hockey tourney to go to on a weekend. Hotel on outside looks good. Check in was interesting. Waited a few minutes at the counter until I heard some ruffling in back office so I thought I'd make my presence known. Lady peered out of office door with a mouthful of sandwich. It's all good, just funny timing. Got... More

Thank you for your review of our hotel. We’re sorry to hear about the noise from the young hockey players during your visit but it was good to hear the noise dissipated before midnight. Our staff do their best to control noise levels from kids during tournaments but we rely heavily on the support of Parents, Coaches and Chaperones to... More

Stayed here In September for 2nights. One lady who checked us in was really nice and approachable, but the morning after, It went from Cinderella to Cruella! We had a great workshop at the Marystown Hotel and Convention Centre. Many of the rooms have been refurbished, and my room on the second floor had a lovely bed, big television, and well organized bathroom. I loved the real key for the door, and also the very friendly staff. From the front desk, to the restaurant, to the cleaners... More

There aren't a lot of hotel choices in Marystown. This hotel is an older property, but is in reasonably good condition. Best choice of room location is the top floor since lower floor rooms can be quite noisy from people walking in the room above. The fairly small room was clean and in good condition. Window opens for fresh air.... More

What better way to announce the quality of your room then going down your hallway and having not one but three cases of empty beer bottles from three separate rooms crowding the hallway with the pull out bed hanging around. The room itself opened to a splendor of stained carpets , chipped walls, discoloured paint and the rank odour of... More

Depending on the time of a high occupancy day one might see some empty beer bottles or a cot in our corridors but I doubt it crowed the hallway and I’m confident our staff took care of clearing it in a timely manner. Room 255 is one of our older rooms; we still have 20 of our 133 quest rooms... More

The hotel lobby is gorgeous. Really nice. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, nice flat screen tv and mini fridge was a nice touch. Great price and met our needs. Thank you for your positive review and honest critique. We try to keep our colour scheme warm and inviting so we use earth tone colours; duly noted however for future consideration. We look forward with optimism that you’ll stay with us during your next visit to our area. More
