I made a reservation 3 months in advance of my trip to Labrador. Received an email 2 weeks before the trip letting me know that he would not honor my reservation because of some long term rentals. I am not sure what cause the overbooking but I have never experienced this before. In the email I was advised with some... More

This is a very adequate place to stay. We took the afternoon ferry and then had an easy drive to the Seaview. We went to the restaurant for the key, then went back for dinner. They were out of chowder so ordered other things from the menu. Not so good! However, we had breakfast there the next morning and it... More

We enjoyed a superior bowl of chowder here. What we thought were potatoes actually turned out to be scallops! Large and delicious. We also ordered a platter with various types of fish...which was ok. Stay away from the wine. We could not drink ours as it appeared to be very old....perhaps not a big seller here. The beer was a... More

We stayed in number 7. We had expected to stay in a cabin but it was actually a lovely apartment. We entered the door to the building which had two units -- one a few steps downstairs and one a few steps upstairs. Ours was upstairs and it was quite a bit bigger that the one downstairs, because space was... More

Five of us stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin for 6 nights the first week of Aug. The beds are a little uncomfortable but not too bad. 15 yr old slept okay on the pull out couch, which is really for only one person. Kitchen table has to be moved to open up the sofa bed so kitchen area is... More

We spent two nights here in June and we stayed in a one-bedroom suite. The decor is outdated and the bed was a bit uncomfortable, but the rooms were very clean and certainly had everything we needed for our stay. There was a full sized fridge as well as a stove-top, small oven and mini-fridge in the kitchen. There were... More

2 bedroom "cabin" on the Trans-Labrador highway, a short drive from the Blanc-Sablon ferry. Basic accommodations but with everything you need. Comfortable beds, small kitchen / living / dining area, full bath. Spotlessly clean and a great value. The restaurant is excellent as well.

Nice location in southern Labrador, away from the "tourist mecca" of L'Anse au Clair. Our cabin had a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, stove, and full size refrigerator, along with cable TV. They have "grocery" store on site (and there are similar stores in L'Anse au Clair and a slightly larger one in L'Anse au Loup). Internet WiFi signal was of... More

We stayed here last summer on our way back from our vacation. It was a great stay - wireless internet worked well but though there is no cell service in Forteau. We checked in at the restaurant and got food from there - small portions and not spectacular but it was okay. The cabin itself was great. Living room/kitchen, two... More

Our recent stay at Seaview was a really fun and interesting experience for my wife and me. We booked a salmon fishing package and stayed for the entire week to also do some exploring along the southeast coast of the "Big Land." It's a fascinating and wonderful place to see! The cottage, food and staff are all great - in... More
