I stayed at the Lanse Amour Lighthouse guest house one night last week while travelling through the area on business. All accommodations in the town were full due to construction in the area. The guest house at the light house is approx. 10 klms from the town of Forteau and sits in the shadow of a historical lighthouse that is... More

We spent two nights end of August and our feeling is split in two parts. The first one concerns the cabin itself. It was clean with a good heating system, a kitchen well equipped and a bedroom and bathroom of a good size. Unfortunately, our suite was on the basement and not on the upper floor which presented two inconvenient.... More

I HAD a reservation with this place, until the owner emailed me saying that he couldn't honor it. I called, only to find out that a big hydroelectric project had come to town and taken up all his rooms. He had to drop some EXISTING reservations to accommodate the longer-term business, and mine was one of them. This is disgraceful... More

I made a reservation 3 months in advance of my trip to Labrador. Received an email 2 weeks before the trip letting me know that he would not honor my reservation because of some long term rentals. I am not sure what cause the overbooking but I have never experienced this before. In the email I was advised with some... More

This is a very adequate place to stay. We took the afternoon ferry and then had an easy drive to the Seaview. We went to the restaurant for the key, then went back for dinner. They were out of chowder so ordered other things from the menu. Not so good! However, we had breakfast there the next morning and it... More

We enjoyed a superior bowl of chowder here. What we thought were potatoes actually turned out to be scallops! Large and delicious. We also ordered a platter with various types of fish...which was ok. Stay away from the wine. We could not drink ours as it appeared to be very old....perhaps not a big seller here. The beer was a... More

We stayed in number 7. We had expected to stay in a cabin but it was actually a lovely apartment. We entered the door to the building which had two units -- one a few steps downstairs and one a few steps upstairs. Ours was upstairs and it was quite a bit bigger that the one downstairs, because space was... More

Five of us stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin for 6 nights the first week of Aug. The beds are a little uncomfortable but not too bad. 15 yr old slept okay on the pull out couch, which is really for only one person. Kitchen table has to be moved to open up the sofa bed so kitchen area is... More

We spent two nights here in June and we stayed in a one-bedroom suite. The decor is outdated and the bed was a bit uncomfortable, but the rooms were very clean and certainly had everything we needed for our stay. There was a full sized fridge as well as a stove-top, small oven and mini-fridge in the kitchen. There were... More

2 bedroom "cabin" on the Trans-Labrador highway, a short drive from the Blanc-Sablon ferry. Basic accommodations but with everything you need. Comfortable beds, small kitchen / living / dining area, full bath. Spotlessly clean and a great value. The restaurant is excellent as well.
