We used the motel to break a drive between St Anthony and Twillingate. The hotel staff and restaurant were very good. Our room was in a newer part of the motel. It was a comfortable room with frig and airconditioning. Our room was at the back so there was no problem with road noise. The only question I had was... more

Stayed one night since our flight arrived in Deer Lake at midnight and did not want to drive far at night. Room basic but clean. Good breakfast in the morning. But it is overpriced for what it is, but in Deer Lake, you don't have many options, so for one night, it was ok with no problems. more

We traveled Newfoundland and Labrador for almost three week and this had to be the worse motel which we stayed in. They have a great location and the cafe is not too bad but that is about the only thing good I can say. The motel is old......... the rooms (the one which we had) had worn out furniture and... more

The Deer Lake Motel is an older motel, with some recent updates, such as a new lobby and wireless internet. At $148 for two people, it was overpriced, but much of Newfoundland's motels are overpriced (in my opinion). The restaurant is convenient and offered basic meals. The location is a convenient jumping off point for Gros Morne National Park and... more

We arrived by plane at midnight from Montréal, Québec. This motel was the best option to stay the night. The rooms are big. It's clean, a bit old, yet airconditioned. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was of reasonable taste (like a dining breakfast). The only issue is the price: $148 CND, tax included, but breakfast NOT included. A rip-off for... more

Arrived on red eye flight into Deer Lake at 2am. Needed a place to sleep before driving to Port Aux Basques 260km away. Family advised us about this Motel. The Motel is a bit old, but don't let it scare you off. It is very clean and quiet and our bed was very comfortable. The Motel has a certain charm... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Deer Lake Motel the night before my cousin's wedding in Cormack, only a few minutes away. There's nothing really fancy about the motel, but the staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean. It could use an upgrade, but for what it is, it's very clean and tidy. I ordered the fruit... more

We stayed in this hotel for one night, as we had an early flight to catch from the Deer Lake Airport. We were a bit worried, as the public spaces were a bit tired and some the halls had a very strong cigarette smoke odour. However, much to our surprise, our room was clean, fairly recently redecorated, fresh and very... more
