We stayed two nights at the Tickle Inn and ate dinner both nights at the inn. The inn is perfect due to the meticulous care and hospitality of the inn keepers. Food served at breakfast and dinner was fresh, tasty, and unique. The evening gatherings hosted by Dave were warm and entertaining. We traveled with our 9 month old daughter.... more

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Tickle Inn at Cape Onion. The hosts were very knowledgeable and friendly and provided us with gourmet meals one would expect in a five star restaurant. The rooms were very comfy and the location is out of this world. After dinner everyone congregated in the parlour for stories and song.... more

We stayed at the Tickle Inn for two nights in July 2009. Major reason for choosing this location was to see icebergs and whales...and we were not disappointed. This property sits right on the ocean and there is a path that leads to moss-covered cliffs. Probably our favourite memory of our entire 2 week stay in newfoundland was the evening... more

My wife and I spent 3 weeks driving throughout Newfoundland--from St. John's in the SE to...well, to the Tickle Inn in the NW--in 2006. We had a marvelous time and recommend this island to anyone interested in smoothing it (that's the opposite of roughing it) in a rural setting. But there was one place we resolved to return to...the Tickle... more

My husband and I just spent 2 nights at the Tickle Inn and found it to be absolutely wonderful. Neither of us were looking forward to sharing a bathroom, but because we had read so many good things about it, we decided to book it anyhow....and are we glad that we did! I can't say enough good things about it.... more

We arrived at the Tickle Inn after several hours of driving through rain, fog and near-dark to be welcomed warmly by David, Barbara, and Sophie, who let us get settled, and then made us comfortable in the cozy living room, introduced us to other guests and gave us tea and homemade bread with molasses - just what we needed on... more

My wife and I stayed at the Tickle Inn for two nights. All the reviews are spot on. It's a great place, full of history, with fantastic views and lots of wildlife. The accommodation is small and the bathrooms are shared but you very quickly get used to both features, and in practice neither is a problem. The meals are... more

I booked this place for a special occasion, not knowing if it would be to my other half's liking. But the whole experience turned out better than perfect. When Dave opens the door you instantly know (even when you haven't read the reviews on TA) that your stay will be one that will stay with you for a long time... more

Our family of four spent 3 nights with Barbara and David Adams at the charming Tickle Inn in early August of 2007. It was our favourite part of the trip. The hospitality is unrivalled, the food was excellent (make sure you stay for dinner every night; it is simply delicious) and the seaside location is spectacular. The after dinner traditional... more

My wife and I and another couple came back to Newfoundland for our 40th anniversary and just had to stay here again. The location is teriffic, the hosts more than gracious and the atmoshpere worth the trip. The supper was excellent, (my compliments to Sophie and Barbara) and the breakfast is more than adequate. The evening in the parlour was... more
