What a fantastic first experience in a B & B for my family. Garry and Shelley were so knowledgeable about the area and were wonderful hosts. Rooms were comfortable and unique. We really enjoyed the 9 pm tea and generous breakfast that we couldn't finish. Bonavista worth the visit. We loved seeing the puffins and whales from nearby drive to... More

First off, this B and B is beautiful - it was actually Garry's grandfather's home and has been beautifully renovated with great attention to detail. We had an amazing room with a lovely view of the harbour. Garry and Linda welcomed us with open arms and made sure that we were aware of all the things of interest to see... More

When asked what he liked best about our Newfoundland vacation, my 10-year-old son mentions this B&B first! Garry and Shelly went "above and beyond" to make our stay enjoyable, not only providing excellent accommodations and meals but they offered help w our daily activities too - recommendations, directions, etc. Thank you so much for a great experience!

We recently stayed in the Newfoundlander suite while visiting the Bona Vista peninsula. The home is amazing with much of the original woodwork and detail. The suite was very comfortable and spacious with a large balcony with a view of the bay and some icebergs. We loved the coffee "quick start" in the morning, it was a great way to... More

This place is a great B&B. The house is a historic house. If you like to be immersed in history, this is perfect. The views are fantastic, the hosts are super-nice and helpful. And the food was excellent. Lots of options for vegetarians too. At the end of the day, the hosts served tea and a light refreshment where we... More

We had been told by facebook friends what a great couple Garry and Shelly were and boy were they right. They welcomed us with a friendly smile and caring heart as Garry carried our suitcases from the car to our rooms. Our room was cozy with two twin beds in (at our request) and each morning coffee was ready and... More

We were not sure what to expect coming in for the night on a very cold and rainy day. We were coming from Elliston very dispointed not having seen any puffins that day. Garry and Shelly welcomed us with open arms and we felt very comfortable from first moments. The place is the ancestral house very well renovated by Garry.... More

Garry and Shelly work exceptionally well together in providing a high level of attentive hospitality in their family’s historic setting. Both are exceptional ambassadors for the historic past of Port Union and the Bonavista Peninsula, and are articulate visionaries for wanting to move ahead with developing a prosperous future for their local community. Our two night stay in the Manor... More

This is a beautiful home, Gary and Shelley are wonderful hosts and it was an overall great experience to stay here. We highly recommend it! The breakfast was delicious as well. Our room had a balcony overlooking the water. The evening tea was a nice touch and we got helpful travel hints from Gary and Shelley. It's close to Bonavista... More
