Just a one night stay at this inn while my car was being repaired in Calais. I stayed in Room 103 on the first floor. There was a king bed, a nice sofa, a flat screen tv, a refrigerator, and free wifi. The room was VERY clean. There is no telephone or microwave, but I don't need either of those.... More

Clean, comfortable rooms, Owner was very pleasant during check in process. Great place for travelers looking for one night stay. Pet friendly. We were charged an additional $10.00 for the dog. King size bed in the room. Kitchen was closed at time of stay.

This is an old fashioned "mom and pop" type motel. Yes, it has seen better days but it is clean and comfortable and the owners really work hard at keeping it in shape and pleasing their customers. They also try to keep their price competitive. There are restaurants in the area. We always stay here when crossing the border in... More

Inexpensive clean inn. A bit dowdy but certainly good for a nights sleep. The little fridge didn't work well and the microwave was older but worked. The king bed was very comfortable with freshly laundered bedding. Definitely recommend for the traveller on a budget like me!

We stayed at the St Stephen Inn for one night in early August. . The woman a the front desk was really nice when we checked in. The room did have a king sized bed. It was a little firm, but it was nice that it had bigger beds. The room was okay. It was clean. We could drive right... More

This is the type of hotel I expect to get when passing $70/night, which is a clean room that isn't too fancy but where everyone feels comfortable and sleeps well. On a recent road trip we stayed here twice, on the way to our destination then again on the way back (you can say we liked it if we came... More

This is not the fanciest place in the world. It is an older motel being improved by the owners who live upstairs. It once had a restaurant but no longer does. There are several chain and locally run places to eat in the area. Our room is clean, has a king bed, a couch, TV, and fridge on first floor.... More

The worse ever experience. The illiterate and ignorant old Chinese lady showed her angry face three times to my seven years old child on a very silly issue- twice in front of all of us. Temperature was -3 but no heating in the bath room. While I informed her this, she replied that no other guests have any problem, why... More

We needed a place to stay near the US border where we could get a pet-free room (because allergies) on the cheap and St Stephen Inn was a perfect fit. (Apparently they only have a handful of pet-friendly rooms, so if that's what you're looking for, call ahead.) We came on the off-season and, having read some previous reviews, asked... More

Boy oh boy, don't stay here. Website is very misleading. This motel has definitely seen better days, about 30 years ago I bet. Pretty filthy rooms. Definitely a "socks on" motel. Only good thing is the price!
