Stayed one night while visiting the Hopewell Rocks. Opening the door the room did have an musty odor, the furniture was older, room was fairly clean, the small t.v. worked and so did the wifi. Beds were doubles and fairly comfortable. Arrived for the included breakfast after nine a.m. to find the restaurant closed with a sign returning at noon.

Very run down, We are not too picky but this was too much. Tv, furniture, and beds were all from the 80's.Cabin had a fairly strong odour. No pool (ripped out), Wifi signal was weak but it didn't matter since there was no internet once you did connect. We had booked for 2 days but decided to cancel the 2nd... More

Stayed for one night since we were going to Hopewell Rocks the next day. Were afraid to stay at the Hopewell Rock motel based on reviews. What happened to my memory on this motel's reviews? Anyway, stepped into the office and knew we were in trouble. The room needed to have the ceiling fan dusted and the chintzy table lamp... More

We were planning to be at Hopewell Rocks early in the morning and decided to stay at the Chocolate River Motel because it is so close to the site. Bad mistake! We arrived about 10:00 PM after a long day of driving and were offer Room 7 for $85.00. We were a little surprised to find an insect trap about... More

This hotel left a lot to be desired. The cabin was pretty old and had seen better days. It certainly wasn't a bargain for what you get. The location was ideal only a few miles from Hopewell Rocks. The view was also nice. If they perhaps just put a little work into the cabins they cold be nice again.

WE stayed in one of the cottages. The outside and deck view are great, the location (10 mins from Hopewell Rocks) is even better. The inside of the cottage needs quite a few updates, although the room and bed are absolutely clean. There are quite some mosquitoes, if you like to sit outside. We ate in the restaurant and the... We stayed here many years ago but forgot the name. We found it again this year. Stayed in Motel room. Nice ,clean, lots of towels. Only problem was the toilet filling after a flush. Took a long time & was noisy. Quiet for sleeping. Could use paint over repairs. No creamer with coffee stuff. Ate breakfast & dinner at their dinning... More

We rented the 2 bedroom cottage for the night and the outside of the cottage looked ok but the deck area was not cleaned up after the last visitor. After going inside the place smelled fresh and I checked the bedrooms. They were all freshly made and really clean. The furniture was all mismatched and very old, not antiques but... More

The motel is nice on the outside and looks nice inside, too, but there is a mild odor of mildew or something. I didn't notice it when checking the room, but my wife did as soon as we stepped in - then I did, too. Two other rooms had the same. They gave us some air freshener to help. There... More

Worst motel we have ever stayed at. Should have read the reviews first! Every one of the bad reviews were exactly what it was like. Would have preferred to sleep in the trunk of the car with the luggage! Didn't know if the sheets had been changed or if the food was going to make us sick. Beware!
