We booked this property because of the great reviews the restaurant had gotten. Unfortunately, the restaurant has been closed due to illness of the innkeeper. Breakfast is still provided but there is no evening dining. There are a couple of places to eat in town but no other good restaurants close by. The room was OK with a large bath... More

We recently stayed at the Ship's Lantern for a two night stay. The Inn is very beautiful, highly decorated and comfortable. Barbara was very attentive to our needs. The bed and bath were very comfortable with an excellent spa tub in the bath. We never met the Inn Keepers' Brenda and Cole, which I thought was somewhat strange in a... More

Everything about the Ship's Lantern is welcoming. From the scenic area to the historical suites, it is definately a must see. The cuisine is absolutely fabulous. I have travelled all over the world and experienced many different eating experiences and none compare to the food at Ship's Lantern.
