Windows need shades, no privacy. Breakfast was good but dinner very bad and way too expensive. Fish tasted old and seafood chowder had tiny shrimp that must of come from can, horrible! Wouldn't recommend eating there.

This place was everything we could hope for when coming to Grand Manan. From the outside, the building was a bit weathered; however, on the inside it was old, but very, very clean. The room was super cute and very comfortable! I just can't say enough about our hosts though! They were very happy to give us guidance with what... More

My son and I travelled here from the UK in July. As strangers to the area , it was nice to get such a warm and helpful welcome. You have to reset your expectations when you come here. If you are going to rate accomodation on Grand Manan against Hiltons etc then you are bound to be disappointed. Shorecrest Lodge... More

We stayed at the Shorecrest as part of a birding tour. The Island is quaint and laid back, and the Shorecrest fits right in. It was a comfortable, rambling old house with old fashioned flowers and apple trees and a resident pheasant strutting around. The innkeepers, Evelyn and Gunther and their son treated us like Family. The rooms were comfortable... More

Gunther and Evelyn are awesome people! They bent over backwards to accommodate us, giving us everything we asked for. They both have a wonderful sense of humor and easy to be around. We would definitely stay there again! The rooms were very warm and cozy. Everything was clean and tidy. The living room accommodated all of us to sit around... More

This was our second trip to Grand Manan and we knew what this beautiful island had to offer. As you drive of the ferry you can very quickly see what you are in for. The Shorecrest Lodge met all our travel needs. A place where you can feel at home. The building and grounds could use a little upkeep but... More

The Lodge is older and a little faded so expect some quirks. But beyond that, we were made to feel right @ home & had a great time there. The inn keeper was knowledgeable about the island & made sure to warn us about the cliffs as he recommended sites to visit. Then we were welcomed back like old friends... More

This place has character and the price is right. The beds are clean and comfortable, The common areas are homey. There was a pay phone where I could use my calling card to phone back to the States. (A big plus and a way to save outrageous roaming charges on my cell phone.) I had dinner there which was fine.... More

This was my first visit to Grand Manan. The island is lovely and worth a visit, but I was very disappointed in the Shorecrest Lodge. It generally looks faded and neglected, as if no one has paid any attention to its appearance in years. The rooms are small and are bereft of any basic amenities - no alarm clock, radio,... More
