I went to McLaughlin's Wharf for lunch with my husband. We were traveling to Grand Manan for the folk festival. I had the smoked salmon pasta and my husband had the seafood chowder. Never have I had a pasta as delectable as this. It melted in my mouth. It was rich and creamy and my husband was grateful that I... More

Beautiful location. Rooms are dorm style with shared facilities. Lucky for us there were only 2 families staying at the time so did not affect us. Breakfast was great. The deck on the wharf was beautiful. Make sure you go to Machias Seal Island. The puffins and seals are extraordinary.

My husband and I stayed at McLaughlins for 2 nights this summer. My favorite part was the view out our window. The tides were incredible to watch ranging from small boats going by to mud. Our room was completely clean as were the shared bathrooms. We had the place to ourselves which was a lot of fun. Brenda was very... More

My wife and I stayed here in mid August for a getaway Canadian trip. We couldn't have been happier. Our room was neat and clean with a nice view out into the harbor. The shared bathrooms, which also were neat and clean, weren't an issue. Staff was extremely friendly and the breakfast was fantastic. A highlight was sitting out on... More

My husband and I visited Grand Manaan for 4 days. We chose McLaughlins for an authentic warf atmosphere and thoroughly enjoyed every minute at this charming B&B. Our spacious room had a comfortable queen bed w good pillows, a refrigerator, and great views out to the pier where we watched the extreme tides ebb & flow. Everything about the inn... More

We stayed two days in midJuly this year. Very clean and comfortable accommodations right on a wharf with just the very best location on a miniharbour. Brenda, the owner was kind, welcoming and we had an excellent breakfast. Because of a very early start the next day we were going to be far too early for breakfast but Brenda made... More

My husband, his sister and her daughter (all Nova Scotians) and I (a Vancouverite) recently went on a trip to Grand Manan Island. None of us had ever been there before. We stayed at McLaughlin's Wharf, a lovely inn on a working wharf. We were able to watch the tide come in and go out from their back deck, which... More

We stayed two nights and were made to feel very welcome. The Inn is very clean and the included breakfast is good. As mentioned by others, the location is a small inlet and views in all directions are of buildings related to the fishing industry. The water comes and goes with Fundy tides, mostly two small streams when we saw... More

Brenda McLaughlin, the owner, welcomed us to McLauglin's Wharf in late June, before the Inn officially opened for the season on July 1. My twin eight year old girls and I spent two nights and had the most wonderful time. The fog was terribly thick the night we arrived but we were warmly received and made to feel right at... More

We stayed here for two nights while exploring Grand Manan Island. This Inn is on a working wharf and the tide comes in around it then goes away and the sea floor is exposed. There are lobster traps and a long pretty beach; lots of places to take photos. We had Room #4 which was very quiet and was decorated... More
