Stayed here ~ three nights in a cabin ~ one night in a motel room. The Surfside is just minutes from the ferry, on the beach, and with walking distance of a great little cafe, or the Saturday market. The property/builiding looks outdated, but had everything that was needed. Super clean. Super friendly staff. The cabin kitchen was fully stocked,... More

What a lovely lovely place to stay! If you get a front room... and you should... then you look out over a large meadow, and then the beach, literally 2 minutes away (well, if the tide is out, maybe 3 minutes!!). Our room had a little kitchenette, fully equipped, which was great for breakfast and occasionally lunch. People are so... More

This place comes as advertised in the other reviews. Great location one kilometre from the ferry, right near the water, dated but comfortable rooms (small bathroom), hostess is very welcoming and helpful, room has microwave, fridge, plates, bowls, utensils. Recommend without hesitation.

Management response:

Our location is certainly a drawing card, as we're next to the beach and very close to several restaurants, shops, cafés and the fisherman's wharf. I hope you'll be able to return to see our new look, which will be completed by the summer of 2016! I'm pleased that you enjoyed your stay here with us. More

Stayed for a night while exploring Grand Manan. The motel is close to a lot of the aytracrions. It is nothing fancy, but it's clean and well taken care of. It's a great deal overall and I would recommend staying there!

Stayed here two nights with my husband...had a room with ocean view and just steps from Stanley Beach...great for swimming, sunbathing, and beach combing. Rooms are small, but comfortable...loved sitting outside in the evening with a glass of wine and the sound of the ocean waves. Rates are very reasonable. Owners are friendly and helpful. The young girl from housekeeping... More

This motel is quite close to the ferry, on the main road -- easy to find, and quiet. I could hear the surf at night, and the beach (great for beach-combing) is just a few metres away from the hotel. It's not super glamourous but comfortable and economical. My room had a fridge, and coffee was available for free in... More

This is a no frills motel but good value for the price. We were told that coffee was available for paying guests. In the morning when we went to get coffee, we got a Styrofoam cup and a teaspoon of instant coffee to take back to our room to make with water we had to heat up in the microwave.... More

Traveling to Grand Manan Island we came upon the Surfside Motel which was quite close to the ferry port. It is a simple but clean motel and very comfortable . The Island is a great spot to go discovering and while there, be sure to take the ferry over to White Head Island, another fun spot to "discover" Returning to... More

We went for three nights. Great location. Beach front property. Restaurant next door. Cottage was well appointed with anything you would need. Fresh coffee in the morning at the office. Great location to explore the island. Very close to the ferry
