We have stayed a couple of other times at PSR and were happy enough with the location and quality of the units. This last trip we were unfortunate enough to be assigned to a 700 block unit. It seems that the developers either went with incompetent architect/designers or they tried to go cheap and do it themselves. The 700 block... more

To begin, I will say that the location here is fabulous and their amenities are lovely. However, the 24 hour unpleasantness that was our first day at Pacific Shores is quite a long story and I will not be able to tell it all. I will break it down and include the basic storyline. 1. On our first night we... more

We had a full kitchen but it was in the 700 block on the ground floor. We felt jipped because we didn't get a full suite with a view. We noticed that a lot of the suites were empty. more

We spent a week at the Shores on an RCI exchange. We flew into Vancouver and then rented a car and took the ferry because we thought our son would like it. I would say you must have a car to enjoy this area, if you plan to leave the resort. There is lots to do at the resort if... more

We just returned from a relaxing September weekend stay at Pacific Shores. We have been to Pacific Shores before and in the past have stayed in the 200 block, which are the newer, luxury units with wireless internet. This time we stayed in an older 500 block unit overlooking the water. This older unit was getting tired and in need... more

My husband and I stayed at the resort for 2 nights in August 2009 on the first 2 nights of a 5 night honeymoon. The room was booked 4 months in advance by e-mail. The booker made an error on our reservation date but she e-mailed me to let me know she caught the error. Unfortunately for us an e-mail... more

We hosted a wedding for our daughter at the resort in July 2009. For the most part we enjoyed the resort and its natural beauty. Where things fell apart were the activities post ceremony. We could make a long list but a few of the main issues are; Hors D' oeuvrves served 2 hours early right after ceremony, sent back... more

Management response from

This review is very regrettable, as the staff tried very hard to please these parents of the bride, the mother in particular. We regret that we were unable to do so. The issues they mention are either mischaraterized, incorrect, or out of proportion. One member of the family asked if we could host their wedding.! Guests were extremely complimentary. We...

We just came back from a week at Pacific Shores. We had a fabulous time. We were in an A suite in the new 700 block building. We did not have an ocean view, but we did have a view of the lovely gardens and man-made stream. As a previous reviewer mentioned, you may be disappointed if you just book... more

Beautiful resort, ocean front location. We were very pleased with our visit and the staff. The garden tour was very informative, the pace relaxing and the tide pools interesting. We found purple starfish, crabs, etc steps from our unit during low tide. Went out on free little boats, what fun. The kitchen set up was terrific, also bar b q's... more
