We stayed here using RCI points. Apparently that got us an underground room which "hotel type." We learned we didn't have a lichen nor did the hot tub work. When we expressed surprise about not having a kitchen, we were told we could upgrade for US$170/night. We were also told there's a cleaning fee. The staff's attitude is that any... More

We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay with us. We understand the frustrations you had during your stay; however, because it was from an RCI Points inventory unit there was nothing we could do to meet your concerns. This is because RCI Points inventory is space that we cannot move do to inventory purposes. Additionally,... More

This is a time-share facility, but you can rent units there. Our condo-style unit was long and narrow -- 1 bedroom. Clean and comfortable. It's right on the beach -- you can spend hours walking from the grounds, right to Parksville. The tide goes out about a 1/4 mile, so there are acres of sandy beaches to explore. Parksville is... Beautiful scene! We were so relaxed as ever to be here as we were also here to see a friend and admire the island. This is what we needed to rest and enjoy the view. You won't regret the fantastic stay.

Pros: Location, location, location. The grounds were beautiful, the amenities were plentiful, (hot tub, indoor pool, bar fridge, beachfront, restaurant, spa, etc.) and the service was good...enough. Cons: My friend and I stayed here on Easter weekend and were not thrilled overall. Hot tub on The Point was closed and we were not informed until we checked in. Other outdoor... More

We spent most of a week with friends at the Resort and really enjoyed ourselves. The massage and pedicure special at the spa was relaxing. We ate at the resort's restaurant twice and found the menu to be creative and the food delicious and appetizingly presented. The spacious condos were very comfortable and we loved the heated bathroom floors. We... More

We spent a week at pacific shores with side trips to Tofino bc on the west coast of Vancouver island and to Campbell river on the east coast of the island. The resort is clean, exceptionally comfortable and has very accommodating, helpful staff. I would definitely stay there again. We had a two bedroom deluxe unit that met all of... More

I had the pleasure of staying at pacific shores on two separate occasions this month. Once I stayed in standard room category - lovely and renovated with heated floors. Bed a bit hard - but comfortable stay. Balcony overlooked the parking lot which wasn't the best but for $56 offseason deal I paid - was more than satisfied - I... More

Because this property is a time share resort there are many room options and prices seem to vary depending on how you go about booking. That being said there are lots of goodies here. The location is out of town, near the ocean and quiet. There are outdoor BBQs, bocce court, boat ramp, patios and a hot tub. Indoors there... More

We booked a 1 bedroom deluxe unit and we were not disappointed. The price was great especially because the unit was very spacious and right on the water. Very clean unit and the grounds are very well kept. They have an indoor and an outdoor pool. Kayaks are there for use in the very calm Nanoose Bay. Lots of great... More

Pacific Shores Resort and Spa has emerged after some trials about ownership and continuity looking very good. The hotel offers suites to owner members for one week or longer stays. They have a quarter ownership plan in one of the units, called the 200s as well as two bedroom units that are dividable into one bedroom and hotel room units.... More
