We stayed at Pacific Shores in August 2015 for 8 days. Very convenient to Parksville, and other places on the island. Easy acess, comfortable and clean resort. Fantastic views of the bay. Lots of places to visit nearby. Units were comfortable, clean and nice. lots of amanities. It lacks activities therefore I recommend you explore nearby small towns on your... More

I loved this hotel. We stayed in the hotel style room which we thought was very big and neatly decorated. Yes there was no air conditioner, but there was a big fan, that to our surprise worked very well and was very quiet. I saw some reviews that said the jets didn't work, but my guess is they didn't know... More

Staying here you have a very nicely located resort with most of they amenities you need. Full kitchen with pots, pans and basic cooking needs. Great oceanfront location with kayaks for use and a town and city are near by for your personal needs. Playground for children, splash pool, indoor pool, sauna and two hot tubs. Walk along the beach... More

How ridiculous not to have aircon in the summer. Housekeeping very slack so room wasn't cleaned properly. Bath tub filthy, jets didn't work. Garden maintenance seems to have ceased so place looks run down. Band was far too loud in the restaurant and you couldn't have a conversation whilst they were playing. At least when we complained they had the... More

Ditto some of the other comments as I sit here in our unit writing this review. Dark cavernous feeling could be alleviated by lighter colored furnishings or painting interior walls. Others said they had to keep lights on most of time - would agree. Fortunately, unit appliances seem to be in working order. Bthrm sinks verrrry slow to drain, but... More

Our room was very nicely decorated, great bathroom, comfy king bed and clean. The outside ground and views of the bay are nice. The onsite restaurant Smoke n Water is nothing to rave about...could have so much more potential. The parking garage is scary looking. The roof deck looked like it was once a tennis court, now it's a fenced-in... More

Our room was average. Clean room however we did find 2 silverfish in the bathtub. Also our room was a b room so is set slightly further back in the building so we didn't get any sun in our balcony. The way the building is set, you can see the balcony bellow to the right and visa versa they can... More

We stayed in a superior king room at Pacific Shores for three nights. The reviews are spot on about the B units - try to avoid if you plan on spending time in your room. The balcony really is a bit of cement in a tunnel like place between two adjoining walls. We were in a B room on the... More

We wanted a hotel close to Parksville as we wanted to take my son to the Paradise Mini Golf and Fun Park (which was loads of fun!). Pacific Shores is NOT right in Parksville but the short 15 minute drive was worth it. The 2 bedroom suite that we got was HUGE and clean and nice. I felt like I... More

This is my first time writing on trip advisor... but I MUST advise you of the terrible experience we just had. Boyfriend and I celebrating 2 yrs... upon arrival the front desk stated... "We have no store and no spa.. we don't have much here". Literally this is what was said to us! We had to drive to Parksville to... More
