This was a surprise weekend away for my partner. He met me out there after his work day and spent my time alone by the estuary reading and enjoying some coffee. A quick walk up the hill to the grocery store and I had everything I needed for dinner. There is a private soaker tub on each patio and a... More

We had a fantastic two day stay at the Inn the Estuary in 'the view' suite. Harold offered us some excellent recommendations for things to do and see on the island. The location of the property is great for exploring beaches on the East coast and a couple of hours away from Tofino on the West Coast. The property is... More

We stayed for 3 nights in the View suite and did not want to leave! You are watching wildlife through large picture windows from sunrise to sunset, deer, all kinds of birds like blue herons, racoons, frogs.. The setting is also amazingly private while you are so much immersed in nature and actually really close to the town of Nanoose.... More

I knew Canada for great places like Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. As it turned out, Vancouver Island was something surprisingly especial and different from the mainland, with a marvelous offer of touristic places beyond great cities like Victoria and Nanaimo, and several small towns, facing the Continent through bays and beaches of unbelievable beauty. But when you meet Harold and... More

We had the privilege of staying with Harold and Maryanne at their lovely B&B. They are wonderful hosts and our suite was fabulous with the king size bed and full kitchen, the wide floor to ceiling windows that looked out to the estuary. My husband enjoyed his early morning, very private soak in the outdoor jacuzzi tub also looking over... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in The View suite, and loved it. It was decorated beautifully, and the floor-to-ceiling windows provided us with great views - the room is certainly aptly named! The View has access to 3 outdoor decking areas, one of which has a bbq, which was actually one of our highlights! Harold and Marianne were so... More

Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 older teens) feel so, so lucky to have found this absolute gem of a property. The decor is so beautiful and polished. As you step through the door and look at the view, it takes your breath away. The views through the walls of windows are simply stunning. We spent many hours... More

"Amazing" is such an overused word these days but in this case, I feel justified. I'm so thankful I stumbled across this paradise. My mom, son & I had the pleasure of spending 3 nights in "the view" suite. My son has been talking about "Mr. Harold" ever since, one of our wonderful hosts. He and Marianne were caring (when... This was our first stop on a 3 week trip to Canada from Sydney, Australia. Definitely a peaceful and friendly place to get over a doozy of a jet lag. The owners are lovely, the room very well thought out and probably more comfortable than our apartment at home! We stayed in the newest room, the View Suite. Canoes available... More

After staying at several locations around the world you tend to accept the website photos are staged to look better than the usual aging reality provides. HOWEVER! this property by far exceeds any expectation you may have. Amazing views of the estuary, eagles, dear, humming birds etc directly outside of the floor to ceiling windows, if this was not enough... More
