My wife & I stayed at Haida House during our time on the island. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted with hospitality and the smells of delicious food. Our room had been recently renovated & was very pleasant. It had a beautiful view overlooking a river. Breakfast in the morning was excellent, far better than... More

My wife and I recently spent a most delightful few days at this former hunting lodge. The staff, accommodation, food and hospitality were first rate. It is ideally placed for easy access north and south of Graham Island. For nature lovers, Naikoon Provincial Park and Delkatla Bird Reserve close to Masset, are reachable in 30 minutes or so, not forgetting... More

Whilst on our Haida Gwaii adventure trip we stayed at Haida House where Joelle Rabu ( also Piaf) is general manager and Grandmother Bear (ask her). The recently renovated building and facilities were beautiful and very comfortable. Food service was excellent as were the wine selections (B.C). Joelle is a wonderful host and great local historian and ambassador for Haida... More

This gorgeous inn was previously a bear-hunting lodge, but it was recently acquired and remodeled by the Haida Enterprise Corporation which owns and runs the businesses of the Haida Nation, a fully-indigenous local organization. The Haida Nation opposes bear-hunting on Haida Gwaii; so it bought out (and cancelled) the bear-hunting licenses and then purchased this 10-room facility located on the... More

We recently spent a three-night package through B.C. Ferries, spending our nights at Haida House and days exploring Graham Island. We had two dinners and three breakfasts at Haida House, and were really pleased by the quality and variety of the food. More important to us, however, was the time we enjoyed talking to the servers and manager at Haida... More

We had a family room at the Haida House. It was very spacious and quiet with excellent beds! The shower is small but definitely not a deal breaker. We had a four-course dinner with local seafood and all the breakfasts there were excellently prepared and the meal service was great! The location is good, between the Tlell River and the... More

This property was a hunting lodge and has been transformed into a gourmet restaurant and hotel within view of a beautiful river with otters, eagles, ravens and salmon. The ocean is just a few steps over the hill. Our host, Joelle thought of everything, a trip to ancient Haida villages, salmon, museum of Haida Art with a private guide, salmon,... More

We had a family room at the Haida House and loved the Haida art on the walls. We also had a four-course dinner and loved the elegant, locally sourced food. The location is good, between the Tlell River and the Hecate Strait, and the near the Pesuta Shipwreck. Joelle and the staff were wonderful hosts!

This is so much more than simply a great place to stay. The location is magnificent, perched between a pristine river and a magnificent beach on the edge of Naikoon Park in Haida Gwaii. That alone would get 5 stars, but.the hospitality rates it even higher than that. The staff are all superb too, from housekeeping, to dining room, to... More

Haida House is a spacious facility right on the Tlell River - a joy to watch as it's flow changes direction with the nearby ocean's tides. A walk to the endless, driftwood lined beach is minutes away via the rear of the property. The manager Joell was endlessly energetically helpful for us. She's knowledgeable about the Islands' offerings of recreation,... More
