My wife and I stayed at Telegraph Cove Resort in a package tour arranged in Campbell River. We cannot say enough about the scenic surroundings, the whale museum and the pleasant staff, but the "the rustic cabins preserving the historic charm" could use an upgrade or two not least would be decent non sagging beds. It would also be nice... More

This is a quaint location with spectacular views and excursion opportunities. The "rustic" cabin we stayed in was adequate, however the two single beds were horrible to sleep on. I think the mattresses must be almost as old as the buildings - very saggy in the middle. For the price that is charged for the accommodations they should improve on... More

The upside: this is a stunning little cove with some brilliant day trips. The whale and bear watching are absolutely superb. You can also kayak and do other outdoor activities. The concept behind Telegraph Cove is good and appeals to travellers wanting to get the old world, north Island experience. The problem is all in the execution. We stayed in... More

Telegraph Cove has a lot of historic interest and is a great place to book a fishing or whale watching trip. It could also be a good choice for a family or group of friends to share one of the historic houses for a few nights. I cannot recommend "the bunk house" for a one-night couple's stay. This small upstairs... More

We just stayed at the Telegraph Cove Resort for a couple of nights, but it's a beautiful place. The cabin was fine - a little need of maintenance in places, but clean and well equipped. One tiny bathroom for 6 of us was a pain, but otherwise there was plenty of space. The marina was busy with fishing boats. We're... More

We stayed at the resort for one evening while we visited the cove for a whale watching trip. The staff were friendly when checking in and out. The view from our room (right over the marina) was beautiful. Yes, the rooms are a little dated, but that is part of the charm of staying in a tiny resort in an... More

We stayed in the yellow house, one of the first houses on the left. Yes, these are old houses but they are clean, beds are good and kitchen/bathroom is well equipped. And with a family of 5 you have enough space in the living room & bedrooms. I would certainly recommend this in comparison to the big motel at the... More

We stayed in one of the cabins just off the marina. Attitude of the girl at check in was less than friendly. Cabin and rooms are overdue for maintenance. Could invest in a few more bear proof trash cans. And a 10:00 am check out time? Give me a break! Service at the pub and breakfast place was much friendlier.... More

I was a little surprised to find that I had to drive 1 km from the main resort on the cove on a good gravel road back into the forest. The campground was very well maintained with campsites set into the forest (nicely screened from each other) around a central field of open campsites. Clean, washrooms with clean, free showers.... We loved this place, stayed in cottage 9, right over the water. However the cottages are by no means luxurious, but although basic are comfortable, so only go there if you're OK with that. The setting and ambience, in our opinion, makes up for any lack of frills. You will have people reading the notice boards about your cottage during... More
