We visited this hotel off season in the summer time. We spent the night here on our way to Vancouver. The amenities and environments in the Sun Peaks Ski Resort were really good. The room is a large kitchenette with a king size and sofa beds.. No A/C but fans were provided. We would like to spent a few more nights... More

Pretty chalet at the base of the ski runs. Loads of room, bedroom, lounge, kitchen etc had everything you would need even had free DVDs to use so watched one late at night. Saw black bears on the green slopes in the distance walking about all evening and playing in the morning. Lovely little village but very quiet and not... More

Location for skiing is definitely the greatest asset of this hotel. Staff are quite friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we were disappointed in this accommodation overall. My friend and I stayed for a full week in a twin room with small kitchen. Although dated, the room was quite acceptable. Our linen was dreadful, very ill-fitting and old. We didn't complain as... A reasonably-priced property right in the middle of the village; hence very well located to walk to ski lifts, shops and restaurants. Since 2014 managed by Bear Country Property Management; whose staff provided excellent and friendly service. Free Wi-Fi and ski storage (as well as bike storage in the Summer) are some extra perks. Not our first time at this... More

Ski in, ski out. Great location, Nice decor. The mini- kitchen had a good size refrigerator, 2 burners, a microwave and a great supply of things needed for cooking meals. Wifi was great Beds were comfortable. We had a loft room which make the main floor like an apartment. Staff was great. Nancy Greene-Rainey skied with the group on Sunday... More

Great location and good facilities at a surprisingly reasonable price. The decor is a bit dated but everything is comfortable and quite spacious. The staff on reception are particularly friendly and helpful. The housekeeping staff are very friendly and do a great job but seem to take all day to get the job done which meant that we would come... More

We stayed at the Hearthstone Lodge at the beginning of Feb for 5 nights. We had a loft room at the end of the building overlooking the village. The room was very comfortable and cleaned daily if required. The one notable down point was that the wifi in our room was very poor / non-existent at times. The staff was... More

My first time in Sun Peaks and I loved it! We spent four days and three nights at the Hearthstone Lodge. The accommodations were good enough given the cost. I prefer to stay in higher tier hotels when travelling so it is not fair to compare the Hearthstone to places I usually book when I go to, say, Whistler. The... More

We arrived early, noon time, and were able to check in as the room had been cleaned. Great location, ski in ski out to chairs, heated secure garage with 6'8" clearance. The hotel is in the village so easy to walk to restaurants and shopping. Pizza takeout below along with a coffee shop. We had a loft unit that had... More

Having said that, Sun Peaks is very small and most places are centrally located! There was no restaurant or breakfast services, but there is a cafe (Tod Mountain Cafe) which is situated within so breakfast or meals are close by and excellent. Rooms were very clean and nice. However there was some carpet missing on the stairway when we went... More
