Stopping off on our way to Jasper on the train, this was a fantastic stop off. Although we had no car, it wasn't far to walk from train station. The rooms were clean and spacious and the hosts so friendly and helpful. Wendy's gingerbread was delicious and a great snack before bed time. Everything we could possibly need was there,... More

Five of us from the same family stayed here towards the end of a long and wonderful road trip through Yukon, NWT, British Columbia and Alaska. Our only regret is that we were only here for one night. Wendy and her family are so welcoming - freshly baked cookies arriving at our door - and very professional. Accommodation is spotless... More

It was getting dark, we had just driven from Whitehorse in the Yukon Territory, and we were tired! We just happened upon the Smithers Guesthouse as we were driving around looking for a place to stay for the night. What a godsend! We didn't have a reservation, and we didn't call (no phone service in Canada) but we were luckily... More

Thanks for your positive review! Just for clarification, all our rooms have private washrooms. Three rooms have ensuites (that is, bathrooms in the bedroom) and two of our rooms have private bathrooms on the hallway. All our doors have keypads with codes for access. The code that gets you into your bedroom also gets you into your bathroom so others... More

Overall, we were happy with the Smithers Guesthouse. Wendy is very kind and helpful and it was nice and quiet yet very close to downtown. We stayed downstairs in the suite available for pets (with our dog). This suite is very small; we were a little surprised to find a bunkbed (lower bunk larger than twin upper). The t.v. was... More

Thanks for your positive review! Just to clarify, we have one room that is pet friendly. This room is on the ground floor and has its own private entrance and a small kitchenette. The reason that we have a bunk bed (double on bottom, single on top) in this room is that this is a handicapped accessible suite and often... More

Very relaxing. We were the only guests when we stayed, so it felt almost like we were renting an apartment for the weekend. The hot tub on the deck with a fantastic view of the mountains made it extra special. Just what I needed after a long day of skiing.

I absolutely loved staying here. My friend and I were just looking for a place to sleep for the night and we stumbled on this place. I wish we could have stayed for a week!! Wendy our host was the BEST! She makes you feel right at home. It is a great place to come back to after a day of enjoying the sites. The full on kitchen was immaculate and great to use as well as the welcoming lounge area. That's where we will be next time in Smithers. Thanks so much Wendy for... More

This guest house is the perfect place for a group of friends visiting Smithers for ski-ing, fishing, hiking etc Small shared rooms, several with ensuite bathrooms, a well equipped kitchen, BBQ on sundeck, Internet alcove, ski-waxing/boot room. Tina and Hans, the owners, were very welcoming and most helpful with visitor information. Short walk to the stores in a residential area.
