Very tired old hotel. Room was clean but tired and old. One bed was comfortable but the other double bed was not. The best thing about this hotel is the breakfast. The people were very nice. It is overpriced compared to other hotels that we stayed in on our trip. The new Best Western in Williams Lake for example was... More

Very nice hotel in middle of Smithers. a welcoming staff full of information was a lovely way to start our visit. Rooms were nice and very clean. Breakfast was excellent and tea or coffee was on tap all of the time would certainly recommend

I've been staying here every time I come through Smithers, and they're always friendly, the rooms are clean and well-maintained, and there's plenty of parking. They do serve a good breakfast. Only problem is the secret must be out, but so far I've been able to get a room.

We were looking for a reasonably priced, clean and quiet room for the night. The Stork Nest is an older facility that is in reasonably good repair. Our room (104) must be the smallest on the main floor as there is a janitor's room that takes up almost 1/3 of the living area. The bathroom was tiny but clean. Equipped... More

I have stayed at the Stork Nest Inn on numerous occasions for business. I have always found the rooms clean, comforable and smoke free. The staff are excellent, helpful and very friendly. They do a full sevice breakfast, the rates are very reasonable. When stopping in Smithers I would highly recommend the Stork Nest Inn.

We have had trouble getting a room with a double/queen + 2×singles, as the standard room configuration seems to be 2 doubles/queens, and 2 rooms is twice the price and your children have to be of an age. So pretty pleased with this imaginatively configured spacious family room. Cooked to order eggs in the included breakfast. You can sit in... More

Upon arrival, there was plenty of parking. The Inn is located across the street from a Boston Pizza, a McDonald's (which does close, btw, and is not 24 hours), a gas station & Safeway. There were other things around, but we didn't notice them until the morning. Check in was easy -- and Lisa was super friendly & helpful. We... More

We ski in Canada every winter and start and end each excursion into the backcountry with hotel stays in our staging town. This winter we had the pleasure of staging out of Smithers and chose the Stork Nest Inn. We were not disappointed. In fact, it was an awesome accommodation for the price. Very clean, quite comfortable beds, everything in... More

i arrived on Saturday evening. The motel is centrally located with several restaurants within ten minutes walking. The next morning the aroma of the bacon, ham and sausages wafted down the hallway. There were several other people eating breakfast. Two hours later after great conversation with Brian, one of the owners and others we parted for the day. The next... More

This is a basic hotel with small, clean, adequately furnished rooms. It's a very short walk to the main shopping area of Smithers. Many of the visitors are workers in transit to the mines and other camps so there can be a lot of movement around dawn. They're Canadians, though, so it's obvious they try to keep quiet as a...
