My room was clean, quiet, spacious and comfortable. Friendly front desk check-in and check-out staff. Others in the group I was to meet up with in Smithers stayed at the Aspen Inn - they were not as satisfied as I was.

We moved to this lodge at 8:30 pm from another hotel we had reserved because of a broken A/C. There were only 5 rooms left because of the wildfire at Burns Lake. There was a possibility the town might lose power because of the wildfire. Hwy 16 was shut down from Horton to Burns Lake and the power grid for... More

We had car trouble with our Ford Escape and wanted to be close to the Ford dealership. The Hudson's Bay Lodge was right across the road from it. I checked with them to see if they had a pet friendly room and they did. The room we had was number 150, on the side catching the afternoon sun and there... More

This place is everything you expect in a high end accommodation, clean, well appointed and very friendly staff. We had booked and began to stay at another establishment down the road, the Aspen Inn but left there because it was so low standard, we came to the Hudson's Bay Lodge and it was great

I just enjoyed Smithers, delightful town. The hotel has a good location, was pet friendly, easy walking, biking paths. Clean, refrig in room. I would stay again if in the area. Our room was in the back and had a great view of the mountain! There is a liquor store is attached to the hotel, little strange. I'd recommend staying... More

Reasonably priced and rooms have a fridge. The staff was not overly friendly, but we only stayed for one night, so I cannot offer much feedback other than the location is convenient and the accommodations could use some updating as the bed was a little uncomfortable.

Just stayed here on a ski and stay package. Bought their top package that gave us their "Spirit of the North" suite and included a bottle of wine, cheese platter, ski passes for two days and gift certs for the restaurant. We added our teenage daughter to the package and was amazed at how little they charged us to add... More

I stayed here for two nights mid-March on business. I am very fussy about hotels - if I can't get a decent night's sleep, I am not a happy camper! That said, I slept really well. Surprisingly well, actually. My bed was clean (I always check under the sheets and btwn the mattress & box spring and under the covers... More

I've spent many nights at the lodge and I have never had a single complaint. The food is great, the staff are friendly, there is a beer store attached, and there is a free shuttle to the airport. I even had my dog with me on one trip. Today they went above and beyond by offering to keep my smoked... More
