Located south and (I think0 west of Smithers, it's really, really worth the commute. It's way off the road and HIGH, with a stunning view of the surrounding mountings and a hiking trail on their property and across the very long dirt driveway and road. Surrounded by beautiful and wild flower gardens, cattle and open land, we're enjoying listening to... More

We stayed here for one night en route from Prince George to Prince Rupert. The lodge is ten minutes out of town by car. The town does not have a lot to offer by way of restaurants. The lodge is beautiful and the breakfasts amazing and Barbara and Chris were both extremely helpful, but we found the beds hard. Despite... More

After a three-day stay, my wife said that she's never stayed in a place that she liked more and that she didn't want to leave. Barbara and Chris proved to be terrific hosts: the food was excellent and the advice very helpful. Go to this lodge for quiet, serenity, and warmth.

We stayed at the Logpile Lodge with our newborn daughter. Barbra and Chris were very accommodating even providing us with a crib. It's a pretty location with excellent breakfasts. Definitely a recommend!

Fantastic Bed & Breakfast. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the owners and instantly felt at home. Barbara showed us to our rooms and welcomed us with a glass of wine. The rooms were very spacious, clean and had a nice balcony to sit and relax and look at the natural beauty of the surrounding forest. The lodge was absolutely... More

Based on Trip Advisor Reviews, we discovered The Logpile Lodge that is owned and operated by two very special, (and talented!), people. Christoph and Barbara built the lodge from logs out of the surrounding forests of Smithers, thus the genesis of the name. Upon entering the lodge, we immediately felt its warmth and beauty. We were greeted with a big... More

We picked the Logpile lodge a bit last minute based on good online reviews and very reasonable pricing. We have no regrets! The staff were warm and welcoming, the room clean, spacious and full of rustic charm. Breakfast was meticulously prepared and came in generous portions. The setting of the lodge is perfect for a more quiet getaway away from... More

Stayed at the Logpile on Friday, 13 Sep 2013. Great Location in wooded setting. Cordial Hosts who know how to make guests feel welcome and appreciated. Very Good FOOD. Clean, spacious room, but rather dimly lit. Overall it is fair value for the cost of lodging . . . would stay there again.

We were met on arrival by Barbara who served us a welcoming glass of wine on our balcony which was nice after a long drive. Chris and Barbara are great hosts who always make sure to have a chat with everyone each day. We had a slight problem with the room the first night which we made them aware of... More

The Logpile Lodge is a nice property, but there's something about it that seems a bit odd. Maybe it's the fact there is no real formal entrance, lobby or check in area. Or maybe it has to do with all the dolls and toys scattered throughout the lodge or the baby crib sitting in the middle of the hallway? My... More
