Hard to get the room comfortable, the heating system cooked us out even on the lowest setting ... I finally set it for AC and opened the window (it was 32 degrees outside) Beds fairly comfortable... bathroom too small, Resturant a bit pricey but good food. every thing you need you can walk to...

We stayed here 7 years ago and returned on our way north to the Alaska Ferry in Prince Rupert. Nothing has been upgraded or improved in the rooms during the 7 year interval. The room is dark & dingy and not as clean as it should be. There is not a micro or refer and the room was noisy until... More

We enjoyed two nights at the Aspen Inn. Two double beds in room were comfy enough. Pool and hot tub are not big but are sufficient and hit the spot after a day out of doors. The breakfast was delicious both days and it's nice that it's included - you just need to pick up the coupon from the front... More

Aspen Inn is a very sad and tired property. The only "suite" thing about it was leaving. The room was dirty and dingy. The carpet is old and dirty. The heater is a health hazard and had only two settings, freezing and boiling. I felt like I was coming down with a sinus infection when I left. The bathroom was... More

Hello Angie N. Unfortunately to be fair your review is very inaccurate. Ski and stay is $169 per person based on double occupancy this includes 2 nights accommodation and four lift tickets. So for $169 you receive two night’s accommodation and 2 lift tickets each. If you were to purchase without the package the cost would be over $500 or... More

Have stayed here a few times while in town for skiing and visiting friends and I've had a good experience every time. The ladies at the front desk are friendly, the rooms are cozy, and you get a breakfast coupon for the restaurant beside it, the restaurant has awesome food too!

I have stayed myself, and have had numerous friends and family stay, swim and eat at the ASPEN in Smithers, all with nothing but fantastic service, food and customers are always dealt with in a timely fashion. I highly recommend this place to stay while traveling through Smithers, whether you are fishing for steelhead, need a quick place to stay,... More

When we arrived we were given, what can only described as a dingy cupboard. it had a small window opposite a brick wall. It was dark, unwelcoming and appeared in need of updating and renovation. We refused the room and were offered what we were told was the only other available room. That too was dark and dreary but at... More

Dear 615Dot. Thank you for your review of The Aspen Inn. I am sorry that we did not meet your expectations. Our rooms were renovated in 2009 and every year we do update these rooms. We find that people do enjoy the Northern feel of The Aspen and The Riverhouse Restaurant and Lounge. Infact on one of our free shuttle... More

I stayed here for work. Usually when I travel I go hunting for the swankier choices but for work I don't so much. These room have a seventies styling most likely because it was the last time they were updated. However the bed mattress was new and not collapsed like I thought it was going to be. The old air... The staff was friendly and accommodating of my request. The room was relatively standard, with a good shower. I wanted a standard room with 2 beds, but none were available, so I got the suite, which I then realized only had one bed and a couch. I got an extra blanket from the front desk and slept on the couch,... More

We stayed here overnight en route to Prince Rupert. Staff were friendly but the room was cramped & dark. Could do with much better lighting. The room was reasonably clean but the outside stairs & walkway were pretty dirty. There was a $10 dollar voucher for the restaurant which would just about cover breakfast but we used it for dinner...
