From the moment you arrive into the spacious parking lot with Ruby Lake across the street you sense you are somewhere special. From the beautiful pond in front of the restaurant deck to the glorious green hills above you just know that now it is time to relax and enjoy. The friendly greeting you receive as you enter the restaurant... More

We booked the family safari tent for two nights. When we arrived it was almost raining, so we asked for a motel room instead and got one. They were able to change our reservation. Pros -as said by others, this is a gorgeous setting -the owners obviously have a lot of interesting and innovative ideas -the tents are lots of... More

My wife and I and our 2 young kids (4 and 6) decided to visit the Sunshine Coast and for a nice "kid-friendly" vacation spot. Ruby Lake looked to fit the bill, close to hiking trails, wildlife, the beach beach. However, having not been to the Sunshine Coast before, we had no idea where to stay...I should have read the... We have just returned from ruby lake resort and as is every year we had a wonderful time! We always rent cabin #10 and always arrive to smiling faces from the staff. our jobs are high stress and this seems to be the only place that we can turn our brain off and relax. the food is absolutely wonderful! accomodations... Found this place through an Ad so I decided to check it out. There was a special, $90/pp for one night stay at the Safari Tent, plus 3-course Italian dinner & canoe rental. I thought that was a steal. I've never been to Sunshine Coast before nor did I ever heard of Ruby Lake. But just looking at the pictures... More

It was actually a a work trip that took me out to Ruby Lake, on B.C's Sunshine Coast and to the lovely Ruby Lake Resort and the family that runs it. But it was so wonderful, I am ready to go back for some R & R. The Resort has rustic charm - there is a main restaurant/ office overlooking... More

Four of us decided to go up to Ruby Lake Resort (it was recommended to us) for the first weekend in the summer. We called ahead, made a reservation after speaking with Giorgio and he confirmed our room. After arriving and checking in, the deal he had given us over the phone had changed completely (from one room with 2... More

We have decided to make the Ruby Lake Resort a monthly destination:) Our last stay was magnificent! So tranquil, relaxing, and romantic! The service was outstanding - the hosts make you feel right at home. All you need to do is ask and they will deliver:) The cottages are cozy and comfortable with an electric fireplace to set the mood.... More

Our daughter got married at Ruby Lake Resort at the end of July 2007. We had the resort to ourselves for the weekend, Friday and Saturday nights. We had dinner in the cozy restaurant Friday night for 75 people and then on Saturday, the ceremony was in the amphitheatre with dinner reception following in the covered tent for 170 guests... More

Some friends and I decided to go on an overnight trip up the Sunshine Coast about two weeks before the August long weekend. Like any long weekend in August, everything gets booked up weeks in advance. Plus, we were a group of 10 so our choice of accomodations was pretty limited. I give this resort a try; cabins are full... More
