Ruby Lake Resort is known for the fantastic fresh water lake. Great lake canoeing and swimming, nearby local beach. The cottages are rustic, all could use updating and some need repairs. Comfortable beds and very quiet for sleeping. The restaurant has great quality Italian cuisine.

We were just driving by and started to run dangerously low on gas with no gas stations in site on a very tight winding highway and would have panicked until we came across this stunning site! The staff of Ruby Lake were simply amazing and rescued us so that we could make our ferry connection and get home safely! There... More

Ruby Lake resort is a fairly large place with a mixture of cottages, tent sites and safari tents. We stayed at one of the cottages so cannot comment on the camping or safari tent experience. The cottages are situated alongside the lagoon that sits on the other side of the road from Ruby Lake itself. The location at the far... More

This place is in a gorgeous location if you like the outdoors. There is lots of wildlife around (if you're lucky you will get to see some of the big eagles feeding up close), the food is delicious and the staff is very nice too. There are little hiking trails nearby and a great lake to hang out on. I... More

I already knew the Sunshine Coast was inspiringly beautiful, but spending time at the Ruby Lake Resort took that to a whole new level. The surrounding landscape is stunning with ocean and lake views, eagles overhead and lush rainforest all around. Aldo Cogrossi is an outstanding Chef and I thoroughly enjoyed the food and energy of the Trattoria, especially in... More

We were blown away by how beautiful this area is and outside doing things so much that we didn't really care about the rooms being outdated like the one review I read. We had a beautiful view of the lagoon and had a wonderful time and plan to go back soon.

Ruby Lake Resort is a simple, natural place to stay while visiting Sunshine Coast. The rooms are not luxurious or swanky but very practical, neat and functional. The ambiance of the whole place is very appealing. The lake and lagoons make you feel very cozy and the single storied cottages are quite homely. Amazingly there was a stone idol of... More

Pictures in the website very deceiving, old beds, furnitures, bed sheets, no microwave, classic TV, filty bathroom, old carpets and furnitures and for the price of $149 per night? go away I wouldn't even pay for 100 bucks for this one and ohh greedy owners when it comes with money! And surely, management staff have bad attitudes!!!!!

Ruby Lake Resort is a small resort at the top end of the Sunshine Coast. It's ideally situated across from Ruby Lake with a lagoon nearest to the main part of the resort. he owners have made the natural experience a focus and the bird watching is wonderful.
