Wow! What a beautiful place! You can stay in the lodge or a yurt, which we would love to try next time. Jon and Tim, who are brothers, are the owners, and are very friendly. We (son, daughter-in law, husband and I) booked this wonderful place (found online) on our way to Nanaimo from Victoria. The road up the mountain... More

We came across this great place thanks to our GPS that led us there when we asked it for nearest accomodations. Don't let the road up the mountain scare you off because when you get there you will find a beautiful lodge with beautiful scenery. Very laid-back and relaxing place. You have a choice of a guest room in the... More

So glad you found us and had a great stay. One word of caution when using GPS in this area. It can sometimes lead you off course when going to Lake Cowichan (or coming from there.). More

Wow!! I would recommend Soule Creek Lodge to anyone looking for a great quiet peaceful stay. When my wife and I travel, we don't really plan anything or book overnights in advance. While at Port Renfrew BC this week, we saw a sign on the highway guiding us to Soule Creek Lodge. We turned left, followed the rocky road to... More

I stumbled upon this place while searching online and I'm happy I did. My wife and I were looking for a romantic getaway and this was just the place. We both love being in the rustic wilderness but with a touch of gourmet. I was immediately attracted to the 'prix fixe' style of dining and set menus for dinner. Both... More

(Sorry, late review) We stayed in the Juan de Fuca Suite for three nights, as all of the yurts were booked for that week and this location had the highest ratings. The road up to the lodge was a little bit rough for our Civic, but we made it up and down those bumpy roads just fine the few days... More

I recently spent a week at Soule Creek Lodge for a group retreat. The space was perfect! All of us were very well accommodated in the cozy, well appointed lodge rooms and yurts and we ate like royalty. The food was impeccable and made with love. Jon and Tim were extremely chill when it came to accommodating our dietary restrictions... More

We have loved Soule Creek Lodge both times we've stayed but beware that one night just won't do it justice! Give this lovely spot a chance to wow you with the spectacular scenery, dramatic weather and let the chefs wow you from morning until night. I don't know what gave Lil_farmer the impression that service was cool or the food... More

A glorious peaceful spot on top of a mini mountain. Book the dinner it's well worth it.With yurts and cabins it's described as 'Glamping' bur we had large room, the kanata suite in the main lodge but the overall feel is more towards rustic than to luxury. We couldn't fault the food or our room except there seems to be... More

Thank you for staying with us. Yes the road to the lodge does suffer by the end of the summer. Dry conditions and all the traffic is the cause. This year we are planning on road upgrades which should make a big difference.Tim, Owner More

The road to Port Renfrew is pretty awful so start early and in daylight. The driveway to the resort is very bad. Dinners with Jon are very good but breakfasts are small and boring. Service is fine but cool and Tim? could use some lessons in friendliness and hospitality. A black bear hung out in the yard eating berries. The... More

Thank you for your comments and happy you enjoyed your stay overall. The road to Port Renfrew is a narrow winding highway, very scenic and remote, this is one of the reasons people come to Port Renfrew. The Hwy has had a $ 14 million upgrade/resurfacing in the last 2 years but if you are not used to hilly and... More

My husband & I booked this rather unusual accommodation some months ago, not quite knowing what to expect. Port Renfrew was an interesting little town that was positioned beautifully amongst rainforest, beaches, lakes. Soule Creek Lodge was amazing! We stayed in one of the 3 "yurts" on the property. Our yurt overlooked the water & as the fog rolled in... More

So glad you were happy with your yurt. We are planning on building an new yurt this winter to be ready for next season with an outdoor kitchen and natural stone and glass brick shower. We are also toying with making it off the grid with solar/wind power and large enough to accommodate workshops and retreats. Look for it in... More
