Hard to fault anything here. Location and scenery were amazing. This was a real escape without sacrificing comfort. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Food was first rate and Dan was a great host. To top it off, "Tide Rip" picks you up from the wharf for an amazing (pre-booked) bear and whale watch tour. No WiFi here, but good phone... More

We stayed in Cabin 2 in July 2015 and it was a lovely stay. It's tucked away from the main lodge by a short walk but this gives a wonderful sense of privacy. Beautiful view of the ocean from a large deck, and an immaculately clean cabin. Skylights in each room to see all the stars at night from your... More

The owners of this 'lodge' are not people worth spending time with. Please pick one of the many other businesses at Telegraph Cove! Very unhappy, very unwelcoming, very rude and mean to their staff. Such an unfortunate welcome to Canada for those travellers who come from afar. Don't stay here.

We weren't quite sure what to expect of Hidden Cove Lodge but it was quite the most delightful experience. Tucked away in a beautiful cove at the end of a long wooded track, it felt like you'd managed to escape the world. No wifi, no tv, just relaxation and great company. Dan and Sandra were fantastic hosts - both very... More

If you love nature, if you can listen to the cry of an eagle, if the croak of a raven interests you, if you can take advice from a knowledgeable host, if you want a chance to feel the heartbeat of Vancouver Island - then Hidden Cove is for you. If you want loud, widescreen TV, lots of screen and... More

Having visited Hidden Cove Lodge on numerous previous occasions, and having been one of the first to review it, we have read other peoples' opinions and feel it is time to add an updated review. Hidden Cove is a wilderness lodge, which was built by the owners and is constructed of local red cedar which, over a period of time,... More

We spent three nights at Hidden Cove in mid September and were based in the lodge itself. This place is ideal for those seeking to get away from the rat race and it is true that there is no TV /wifi / mobile coverage here. We found this quite refreshing because the access to nature is quite fantastic. The lodge... More

20.09.14 to 23.09.14 A return visit so we know the set up. Dinner was excellent for all the nights we stayed. Dan and Sandra remembered us from our previous visit and were very welcoming. We saw the bear on the beach twice during out visit. We took the Tide Rip tour and as mentioned by others we were picked up... More

We stayed in Cottage no.2 for a week in september and it was really clean and comfortable - in fact it looked new! The lodge itself is rustic but fits into it's surroundings perfectly. If you are after a real get away from it all wildlife retreat this is the place to go; we saw the black bear foraging on... More

We like staying in out-of-the way places away from the crowds. Hidden Cove Lodge fitted the bill perfectly. It's 3km down a forest track. Dan and Sandra, our hosts, were very welcoming. We enjoyed our conversations with Dan about the location, the local wildlife and the local forestry activities. The menu was relatively limited but that's understandable given the small... More
