My husband and I stayed in a studio condo at Horsethief as part of a time share extra vacation. We were there for a week during the off season so we didn't expect everything to be up and running, but the first weekend we were there was the "May Long Weekend" so they had more restaurants/stores/amenities up and running for... This was an ok place to stay at. Not much real close by. Staff at central check in were friendly & helpful. What sucked was that there were no counter staff in sight. Rooms were clean & acceptable. You can't ask too much for a budget inn I guess. What I didn't expect besides having no counter staff in sight... More

I stayed here for a week in Janurary and really enjoyed everything about my stay. The room was a bit dated, but other than that I had a blast. Only downside is that the mountain was extremely icy so I barely snowboarded. But the food was delicious.. especially the tomato basil soup!! The staff were really nice and very accomodating.... Have to say we had a wonderful time out of season of course for new zealanders if that was a season with rubbish snow. I'm really looking forward to going to see it when they got some really good snow, because we just really enjoyed ourselves. Also enjoyed going down to and Invermere which was a town only 20 minutes... More

Thanks for coming over to see us from the other side of the world! Next time you come over, be sure to also check out the Lake Windermere Whiteway in Invermere - it's the longest maintained ice skating surface in the world (as recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records). More

Literally ski in - ski out. Ski right from the back door of the Lodge. The ski locker is next to the back door. Modern rooms. Cleaned regularly. Hot tubs outside, with changing room and access from inside the Lodge were very hot and relaxing after a long and hard day of skiing on the mountain. Two Bar-B-Q’s just outside... More

A 40 CM snow surprise is always a great treat! Great to hear that you enjoyed your stay and that you took advantage of the free mountain friend program. The mountain friends are all local experts who take great pride in showing off the mountain to our guests. Hope to see you again! More

Stayed in the Panorama Mountain Village August 2014 in a 2 bedroom condo for 4 nights. Booked through VRBO which saved a tonne of money and still have access to all the resort amenities. We were 2 families with kids 10, 7 and 5. Condo was well appointed, and we cooked all our meals. Had read in advance about water... More

This is a very customer orientated resort. Big enough to get some good skiing , easy ski in ski out accomodation and paragliding friendly.....they even groom a landing strip near the chairlift. It is family friendly and no night life.....which in turn translates in fewer hang over snowboarders on the slopes. Highly recommended.....we are already booked for next year :-)

We've been here in the summer months multiply times! -An excellent family resort with so much to do in the gorgeous Rockies! This is our 2nd ski stay and love it! So easy....wake up, cook a fabulous breakfast or have one at the hill....and start the day of ski/boarding....or in my case relaxing! Kids are bigger and I feel safe... More

Thanks for the great review! And for all your visits to Panorama over the years. Families often tell us that they love the fact that the resort in well designed and safe for their kids to go off and explore on their own (when they're old enough). Till next time! More

We were visiting Radium Hot springs and we were told by the locals about the free gondola ride at Panorama Village and a good place to kill time. I didn't expect to see much of skiing on March 27th. All the runs were open. Lots of snow and hardly any line ups. The village was impressive. Hot pools and restaurants.... More

Thank for the review. Too bad you didn't get to try out the skiing (a lot of people were surprised how great it was at Panorama given the poor conditions in most of western Canada). And just too clarify a small error - our lift tickets were $82 this winter, which is similar to all the other large ski resorts... More
