This was our last stop on our honeymoon travels and it was by far the best town we stayed in. Not because the hotel it self I would probably would not stay there again it was pretty much a dive.( no elevator, kinda clean, bed very uncomfortable you have to be super drunk to actually sleep in it. But I... More

The Leland Hotel is definitely worth staying at, the building itself is a piece of western Canadian history. The prices aren't all that bad, the view of the lake and mountains is great & the staff are very welcoming and friendly.

We recently stayed at this hotel with our two children after reading the positive reviews and the lack of other accommodations to stop at on your way through town late at night. The rooms are definitely budget and basic. We didn't mind that so much. We found it clean and adequate while lacking any of the charm that we had... More

Our tour group of 19 people stopped Oct 20 for a dinner and an overnight stay at the Leland. Staff greeted us and hauled our bags upstairs for us. Rooms were charming and clean, decorated like you would hope the oldest hotel would look like. The chef made us chicken cordon bleu (probably the best cordon bleu I've had) but... More

Traveling with friends in September on motorcycles, because of bad weather further North we had to make a detour. We stopped off in Nakusp. The town itself is small, the lake and view is beautiful. We asked at the tourist information for a good place to stay and they said if we wanted something quirky and that little bit different... More

The people here seem to try but they don't have a clue. I f you order anything deep fried ( hamburger with fries, fish & ships, etc) it will be OK. Don't try anything on their entre menu. This place is one of those "podunk" places that pretends to know what food is. The view from their deck is nice,... More

My partner and I stayed here for one night. Almost all of the staff are warm and the room was really nice. The view of the lake is stunning. We stayed in a room that had a lot of character. Apparently this hotel is BC's oldest continually operating hotel. The nice thing is that while it is a historic hotel,... More

we stayed at this hotel last week for 2 days, the reason why we booked it was due to the photo's, the photo's must of been taken all at once and with ONLY the best views. The room was OLD and musty, no phone, phone book, no hair dryer, or products. I took the OLD comforter off of the bed because... More

Stopped in for supper on a trip returning from Castlegar. Hungry! We'd seen the Leland Hotel on the way by in the morning, we decided to give it a try - and we weren't disappointed! I had a Rickard's Red (only one - riding a newly purchase motorcycle that I wasn't completely familiar with) and a delicious Reuben sandwich. My... More

Stopped in Nacusp on a road trip through the interior. Have wanted to stay here for years and finally made it. Hotel is vintage and our lakeview room was small but perfect for a one night stay. The restaurant at the hotel was excellent. Highly recommend if you are looking for an affordable stay in a beautiful spot.
