Perfect location, warm new ownership, cozy, rustic, felt at home, amazing views, great breakfast. I've driven by here at least a hundred times, had no idea they offered these little cabins for rent. Stayed one night for Canada Day and wish we could have stayed longer, will be returning in a few weeks. A five star hotel this is not,... More

It was my first experience at the Kootenay Park lodge, and it was a great experience. The owners are great, and so is the staff. Stayed two nights, and enjoyed every moment of it. I will definitely be staying there again.

Fantastic find. When I approached the lodge, there was a sign stating: New Owners. I was concerned and quickly learned that the lodge will receive loving and tender care. The new owners are young and passionate and have a great story to tell. By all means speak with them about their background. I stayed in one of their newest cabins:... More

We recently spent a night in a heritage cabin. They are very old and beat up but with some attention to detail they would have potential. The good: nice views around; peaceful in spite of being right on the highway; owners are doing their best but they should really hire personnel to be on top of things The bad: the... More

We were cruising through Kootenay National Park this May long weekend and needed some last minute accommodations. Lucky for us they had a cabin available for the evening! We loved the rustic nature of the old cabins, the wood burning fireplace made it super cozy. Guests should be aware that the old cabins are from the 1940s, and they do... More

Found Kootenay Park Lodge recently on Hotels.ca and given the price point, thought I would give it a try. Talk about bang for your buck! The cabin we stayed in had a wood burning fire place and cozy kitchen area. The lodge is central to many beautiful hikes and an easy drive to Radium, Banff and Lake Louise. The beds... More

I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely return. I had stayed in one of their two newest cabins which have updated amenities inside - but most of the other cabins are rustic and in my opinion offer a true cabin experience of camping in the mountains each having their own real fireplace (as the cabins main source of head)... Stayed over the long weekend in May for a couple nights and enjoyed the lodge cabins with a fireplace. New owners are very nice. Restaurant has a new menu and breakfast was included with fresh fruit mmmmmmm

If you want to sleep with bugs crawling all over you and loud noise from the highway then this is the place for you! I was so disgusted I didn't even spend the night, yet they charged me anyways. It stunk, and there were bugs EVERYWHERE. Like I said, I would have rather slept in a tent. Bathroom looked straight... More

Looking for a rustic log cabin resort with perfect location 15 minutes from Marble Canyon and Stanley Glacier hike. Then look no further. The cabin was rustic with a good bed, fireplace, and plenty of hot water. Want more, then get the new cabin. We had a nice stir fry dinner in the great old lodge though many other items... More
