Found Kootenay Park Lodge recently on Hotels.ca and given the price point, thought I would give it a try. Talk about bang for your buck! The cabin we stayed in had a wood burning fire place and cozy kitchen area. The lodge is central to many beautiful hikes and an easy drive to Radium, Banff and Lake Louise. The beds... More

I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely return. I had stayed in one of their two newest cabins which have updated amenities inside - but most of the other cabins are rustic and in my opinion offer a true cabin experience of camping in the mountains each having their own real fireplace (as the cabins main source of head)... Stayed over the long weekend in May for a couple nights and enjoyed the lodge cabins with a fireplace. New owners are very nice. Restaurant has a new menu and breakfast was included with fresh fruit mmmmmmm

If you want to sleep with bugs crawling all over you and loud noise from the highway then this is the place for you! I was so disgusted I didn't even spend the night, yet they charged me anyways. It stunk, and there were bugs EVERYWHERE. Like I said, I would have rather slept in a tent. Bathroom looked straight... More

Looking for a rustic log cabin resort with perfect location 15 minutes from Marble Canyon and Stanley Glacier hike. Then look no further. The cabin was rustic with a good bed, fireplace, and plenty of hot water. Want more, then get the new cabin. We had a nice stir fry dinner in the great old lodge though many other items... More

We stayed in the Vermilion cabins and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was so comfortable and cozy. Great location and great food in the lodge. The staff there were so friendly and helpful. Thank you Donna Marie. We will be back.

WE really enjoyed our weekend getaway to Kootenay Park Lodge. It is a great base for hiking in the area. The staff were extremely helpful. Would recommend to others. Another traveller accurately described it as camping without the tent. It is rustic and fabulous! Loved the stone fireplace across from the bed.

You will love this lovely lodge. Friendly and accommodating. Good dining options. We liked hiking the trails in back of the lodge. Thank You Paul and Donna Marie for a good memory to take back to Minnesota with us! Kim & Dave

The restaurant is housed in a rustic log cabin built in the 1920s. Out on the veranda soaking in the beautiful mountain scenery, we had a delicious evening meal. To start, my husband had the soup of the day -southwestern chicken noodle soup - it had a comforting and enticing flavour. The entrees were done to perfection: lemon dill salmon... More

Last weekend we were returning home from a 3000 mile motorcycle trip and road past this quaint little spot. Upon seeing the beautiful cabins we turned around and decided to see if they had a cabin available for the night. We were delightfully surprised when they said they had one available! Our cabin had a fireplace inside which we lit... More
