Well worth the drive (from anywhere!), although the first few km from Lillooet is on a poor road that requires full attention. We didn't have a 4x4, but that wasn't a problem. The resort is an oasis, but don't go for anything other than a lake view room, as the parking lot isn't too pretty. The rooms are a good... More

My girlfriend and I stayed one night in the attached campsite and two nights in a lake front room and enjoyed our entire time. The canoes, paddle boards and kayaks are included in the rate and free to use any time. The chef's tasting menu changes daily but we really enjoyed our dinner of bison loin. The drive is scenic... My 13 year old son and I just returned from three nights - June, 2015 - at Tyax. The resort is the best example of the Canadian cottage experience - a wonderful wood structure, manicured lawn to the lake, canoes parked at the dock, and loons calling in the background. The location is a delight - framed by high mountains,... More

My husband and I just celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary at Tyax. We had an amazing long weekend of hiking, mountain biking, eating and hot tubbing. The resort is right on a beautiful lake and has stunning mountain views. The staff were professional, attentive, and thoughtful. We hired a mountain bike guide (Jeff) who took us on a great ride... This wonderful resort could certainly improve with new management, maybe not an absentee landlord? A dinner menu with four entrees seems pretty poor for a resort of this class & size. The hot tub as well as the ice machine were not working when we were there, which appeared to have been the case all year! A meal in Bralorne... More

A 250 mile trip to get there with last 103km on gravel and finally arrived at the hotel - WOW! Fantastic setting with bedroom with a balcony having a lake view. Room very nicely furnished. The restaurant served high quality food, not perfect for teenagers but wonderful for the parents especially on our anniversary. Breakfast on the restaurant balcony planning... More

The hotel itself is amazing, directly located on the shores of Tyaughton Lake. Despite being built in lodge-style, with wooden walls and porticoes, it is new, clean and full of comforts, such as: modern SPA with hot tubs and Saunas, fitness room, a beautiful dining room with a stunning fireplace, game room and gift shop. Complimentary WIFI, TV and balconies... More

Tyax is a 2 hour drive North of Pemberton, BC and well worth the drive! The facility has recently been upgraded and the rooms are well laid out, with modern decor and amenities. The restaurant and many of the rooms over look beautiful Tyaughton Lake where Loons, canoes, kids and SUPS share a wide open, truly Canadiana space. The lake... More

We were looking to do a circle loop from the Fraser Valley, up the Sea to Sky Highway to Whistler and then through to Lillooet and down the Fraser Canyon. I discovered the option of going through Gold Bridge and staying at Tyax Resort. We initially booked for 2 nights but then switched to 3 on a 3rd night free... More

The room was pleasant overlooking the lake with a good view. However we were expecting a quiet, peaceful and relaxing 3 nights away in the wilderness enjoying walks and seeing wildlife. However this was not not to be, first morning we were woken early by a chap mowing the lawn, the next by a baby screaming and the third by the float... More
