After a nearly 3 hours drive on mainly gravel road, we were not sure what to expect. When we arrived, saw the lake and the lodge, we were amazed. It is a harbor of quiet and calm, and the amenities were perfect. Canoes, kayaks, SUP and pedal boat are for free, so you really can enjoy your time near and... More

Our trip to Tyax was over all very enjoyable. It is a beautiful lodge in the Chilcotin which helps you access some of the most amazing mountain biking terrain in B.C. It was not hard to relax on the grass beside the amazing lake after a long day on the dusty trails. It seams that many reviews mentioned the unhelpful... More

We visited over the long weekend and stayed in the campground. Although it was busy and the hotel said both the lodge and the camp sites were at full capacity, it never felt busy and there were only ever 10-15 people at the lake. I didn't see the lodge room, but we did visit the lodge each evening for drinks... More

Tyax Wildness Resort and Spa is in such a beautiful location on the shore of Tyaughton Lake. W did not stay in the hotel, but rather camped for two nights in the campground. To anyone considering camping, they have free showers! Plus for $20/night you have access to use the canoes, paddle boards, kayaks and paddle boats. That was a... More

Let me start by saying that I would return here, it's a tremendous location and has excellent facilities. Much as I don't want to focus on the negatives, I think that the management need to read the feedback that others have left and learn from it where necessary. It seems to me as though the restaurant and lounge are understaffed.... More

Disappointing food, even after hugely epic mountain biking days where any food should taste wonderful... Cold halibut, bland risotto, tiny portion of fries with burger, ran out of parts of meals and just left it out instead of warning you that part of the meal would no longer be included... Then on top of it the service was unbelievably slow... More

The drive in has some of the most spectacular scenery in the country. Tyax is everything you could hope for, except for the restaurant. Large clean rooms, spas and luxurious outdoor hot tub, and excellent service. The food however, was a real disappointment. 1 cook working the kitchen, just couldn't keep up with so many orders, so it arrived cold.... More

Tyax lodge is all that you see on their website and more Beautiful; secluded and a lovely place to relax and enjoy nature. The lakeview rooms have views to die for. In addition the rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The hot tub and spa exceeded my expectations. The lodge hit on all the high points; alas... More

We enjoyed a wonderful 5 nights at Tyax on our family trip to BC. Gorgeous lakeside setting - definitely worth booking a lake view room and we enjoyed being on the ground floor so could walk out of room straight down to the lake. Beautiful views and very peaceful. Rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Children loved the free access... More
