Unbelievable hotel that had the whole family wondering where on earth we were going after nearly 2 hours of pretty much off road driving from the last town - on arrival we thought it was either going to be a nightmare or amazing...it was definitely the latter!! Amazing views, activities, food - a truly enchanting place made unique with the... More

Went with four other friends to do the Warner Lake Bike trek (50km). Lodge staff were great including the pilot. Everyone was so friendly. Breakfast at the lodge before the flight was really good. Drinks after the trek in the lounge was great. Campground was great, including the shower/changing room. Plan to do a longer bike trek next summer from... More

Truely a great experience with the raw wilderness all around you and this beautiful lodge perched on Tyaughton Lake. I thought the staff was enthusiastic and informative . My son and I really enjoyed the tasting menu with the wine paring , not expecting this level of detail so far from Vancouver.

I had a great view from the 3rd floor overlooking the lake. I love the area and enjoyed some good walks. I had hoped to get some fishing in and maybe try my hand at stand up paddle boarding but the wind never let up long enough for that to happen; got some spa time in instead. Love the steam... More

Tyax resort is a great place to unwind and enjoy some R&R. The property is well maintained and beautifully landscaped. Our room on the ground floor was clean,, well-kept and within stone throw from a trout filled lake. The amazing service at the spa and the hot tub is a plus after a long day of biking and adventures. The... More

We have just returned from a wonderful 3 days at Tyax. We had a second floor room overlooking the lake. The room was very large and nice and modern. Staff were all professional, fun and provided great service. The restaurant food was very good, albeit a limited menu if you stayed more than 3 nights. We enjoyed the complimentary canoes... More

Tyax is clearly targeting hard core mountain bikers and Europeans seeking guided wilderness luxury. As a Canadian family looking for a wilderness getaway, we were disappointed and felt unwelcome. The setting is spectacular and the facilities are excellent. However, when they found out we weren't willing to pay for heli-hiking and float plan drops offs, we were met with disdain.... More

A beautiful lodge with great feng shui, Tyax Resort is set on a lake and surrounded by gently rolling hills, with high mountains in the distance. There are lots of freebies, such as access to the kayaks, paddle surf boards, and canoes; a games room with ping pong, a pub with darts and a pool table. There are also services... More

Worth the drive! Stayed just one night here, used all the facilities, spa, kayaks, restaurant, games room. Restaurant was delicious "fine dining", tried bison for the first time. Fantastic 5 courses! Room was beautiful, looking out over lake. We took a float plane up to spruce lake with our mountain bikes and saw a grizzly bear on mountain, 2 moose... More
