What can I say - wow! WCWL is simply in a stunning location. We were in the Rockies two years ago which was amazing but the scenery here is also beautiful. WCWL is in a remote location but the peace and quiet was lovely. There is plenty of wildlife in the area and I enjoyed watching a variety of birds... More

Had 2 nights here to get away from the city. We had fabulous weather, did the Skookumchuck Trail in the morning, and had a Zodiac ride in the afternoon. Dinner was pleasant enough on the outdoor patio, even though my husband's steak was overdone. The view is perfect, the room was comfortable and the staff pleasant. We would return. Wifi... More

Upon arrival we were greeted by the friendly staff at the front desk and I was also able to catch a glimpse of the view from the dining area. We immediately knew that there was something special to this place. We stayed in one of the forest suites and found them to be comfortable, cozy and quiet. Exactly what I... More

The location and views from the deck were great especially at sunset. Super food - not too expensive, biggest mussels I have ever had! We ate outside for the two nights we were there and on both times the service we had suffered a glitch but staff were responsive to it. Suggest you book a table even if the hotel... More

Stayed there just over a week ago, place is awesome! Friendly family run business with very good rooms & stunning views. As name states "Wilderness", there is not a cell phone signal & lodge only has dial up speed Wi-Fi in the lobby area. There is a complimentary PC in lobby which you can use & a complimentary landline telephone.... More

The west coast wilderness lodge is honestly one the most beautiful places I have ever seen and in a very remote location. I stayed in a forest suite and was incredible impressed it was very spacious and homely. The food was very well priced and was absolutely amazing my favourite being the omelette for breakfast. I found there were plenty... More

Our family group of 30 celebrated my nephews wedding. We had glorious weather in a splendid setting. Staff were very attentive tho overworked. High costs but the overall vote was one of excellence - wonderful memories. Phosphorescent kayaking was totally amazing - great activities and places to visit such as the Narrows nearby.

Some reviewers, I suspect, are so mesmerized by the physical setting that they make this place sound more impressive than it actually is. No question, the location is stunning; staff members are enthusiastic and talented. Chef Warren adds piquant touches to his creations. Activity packages are creative and very well run. But...it's not the Four Seasons. All the challenges which... More

We celebrated a big anniversary at the WCWL recently and could not have been more pleased. Even though most of the sunshine on the Sunshine Coast was of the liquid variety, it did not dampen our spirits. The lodge is truly beautiful and our ocean-view suite was super nice. The bed was very comfortable, with excellent quality linens and the... More

Can't describe how, but I ended up with an amazing package reservation which the hotel graciously honoured. While there, I enjoyed the spa and the restaurant. I was in a forest room and actually the soft, cool, green of the forest view was soothing after all the fabulous ocean brightness. The food was great. The service is a bit confused... More
