The west coast wilderness lodge is honestly one the most beautiful places I have ever seen and in a very remote location. I stayed in a forest suite and was incredible impressed it was very spacious and homely. The food was very well priced and was absolutely amazing my favourite being the omelette for breakfast. I found there were plenty... More

Our family group of 30 celebrated my nephews wedding. We had glorious weather in a splendid setting. Staff were very attentive tho overworked. High costs but the overall vote was one of excellence - wonderful memories. Phosphorescent kayaking was totally amazing - great activities and places to visit such as the Narrows nearby.

Some reviewers, I suspect, are so mesmerized by the physical setting that they make this place sound more impressive than it actually is. No question, the location is stunning; staff members are enthusiastic and talented. Chef Warren adds piquant touches to his creations. Activity packages are creative and very well run. But...it's not the Four Seasons. All the challenges which... More

We celebrated a big anniversary at the WCWL recently and could not have been more pleased. Even though most of the sunshine on the Sunshine Coast was of the liquid variety, it did not dampen our spirits. The lodge is truly beautiful and our ocean-view suite was super nice. The bed was very comfortable, with excellent quality linens and the... More

Can't describe how, but I ended up with an amazing package reservation which the hotel graciously honoured. While there, I enjoyed the spa and the restaurant. I was in a forest room and actually the soft, cool, green of the forest view was soothing after all the fabulous ocean brightness. The food was great. The service is a bit confused... More

WCWL is an oasis in the forest. An amazing view of the ocean, if you watch long enough you will see orcas in the water. We attended a weekend wedding and did not hear of any complaints from other guests. A little isolated, but that is the point I suppose.

The view, the food, the wine, the service! All outstanding! My husband and I found this to be a piece of heaven; it was as delightful as some of our fondest moments in Cape Town. We were 5 for dinner and sampled different dishes and wines. Everything was wonderful as was the friendly service of the lovely staff. It would... More

This lodge is in an absolutly beautiful setting, just a few hours from Vancouver. The gormet dinner on the outdoor patio was a real treat. The staff was warm and friendly and very helpful. Even the owner stopped by to chat. We loved kayaking at low tide and seeing all of sea creatures and the seals swimming around us. We... More

We had a nice time at the West Coast Wilderness Resort. We stayed for two nights (Thursday and Friday) in the middle of August. We found our time to be enjoyable; however there were some aspects of our trip which were less than favourable. THE GOOD: -We were allowed early check in, despite arriving 3 hours early! Very kind of... More

Our stay at the West Coast Wilderness Lodge was fantastic! The rooms were clean and spacious (we stayed in a Forest Suite). The staff was friendly and helpful. The views from the hotel were gorgeous. The offered adventures were amazing! We went on a nighttime kayak tour, which was absolutely incredible! The extras were reasonably priced and well worth it.... More
