I can not say enough about the beauty of the location . To sit outside on the porch in the main building and look out will take your breath away .Thenstaff was professional and I had a great time . I did expect more plush accommodations . This is a clean cabin style accommodation. That being said , don't let... More

My partner and I celebrated our wedding at the WCWL this past summer, and it was spectacular. We could not have asked for a more stunning location, or a better day. The staff were extremely helpful with all of the details. As will often happen, things came up last minute - we were assisted and accommodated, as were our guests.... More

Private, treed location with gorgeous view of the inlet -- from the dining room. From our room, a peek of water from the deck, full view of a boat storage area in the woods. Worst sleep I have had in a hotel in many years! Bedding was third rate: had to get rid of the overstuffed pillows because I couldn't... More

About thirty of us gathered at WCWL in mid-September for a three-night stay. Yes, the location is stunning, but the Lodge is deserving of high praise also. The rooms were very nice and clean. The food was good and the staff and management went overboard to be sure everything was right; very professional, flexible and pleasant. I highly recommend the... More

The West Coast Wilderness Lodge is one of the most beautiful places we've stayed. We had an ocean view suite. Glorious views onto the inlet, complete with a visiting humming bird every night. Lovely comfortable bed and luxurious bathroom. The day trip to the Princess Louisa Inlet was fab. Really knowledgable guide and stunning views. Back Eddys Bar next door... More

West Coast Wilderness Lodge is quite a special place. Located in Egmont, the views are breathtaking and there is plenty to do for the nature enthusiast. We went kayaking (amongst seals and sea lions), hiking (in some of the most most magnificent forests imaginable) and on a kodiak boat ride (seeing a bald eagle, seals, sea lions and whales). Each... Stunning location, with wonderful views of the inlet and local wildlife. A very comfortable room with a lovely deck. Good food and good service. Catherine gave us great advice about the area. Fantastic hike to skookumchuck rapids and lovely relaxing kayaking. Peace and tranquility on the edge of the wilderness. What more could you want?

The prices are a bit high, but there's only one other place to eat in Egmont and Backeddys doesn't offer anything near the service, view and great food that you get at The Wilderness. Classy dining, watch the activity on the water, the sunsets are magnificent, the service beyond compare. A nice relaxing atmosphere after a hike to the skookumchuck.

The lodge is in a beautiful setting with stunning views and whilst we enjoyed our stay it was not the luxry the web site had led us to believe. The food was excellent but one of the appetisers and two of the entrees on a small menu were not avaible. We were told they'd be avialable later in the week... More
