My son and daughter-in-law booked the two cabins for us all on our recent visit over from the UK. The cabins are both done out really well, the bed was so big and comfortable and we had a lovely warming fire in each room. The bonus was the cookhouse between the two cabins, which you can use. This was perfect for us to sit together in the evening talking, playing games and cards, and eating food cooked on the BBQ (gas BBQ's provided). In the morning Janet and Dwight cook you breakfast in here, and you get whatever they fancy cooking - Janet tried out a new recipe of 'apple french toast' on us .... lovely! There are trails through the trees with plenty of seating areas, a couple of fire pits, sauna and hot tub - as it has snowed for us none of these were used! also lovely views of Swan Lake. Janet and Dwight are also very knowledgeable of their area.…

Beautiful with fresh snow but to cold to use the sauna and hot tub which are at the lakeshore. The cabins are up the hill. Once the cabin warmed up it was quite cozy. Pleasant stay. Excellent breakfast.

I took my wife here on a surprise mini honeymoon, Janet and Dwight are amazing and kind people. They even went out of their way to help me plan other activities for the weekend. Food was fantastic, menu completely flexible. The property is well kept, well lit and features beautiful views, many fire pits, a sauna and hot tub and a feeling of seclusion that is unparalleled. Janet and Dwight are always there when you need them but somehow also manage to give you privacy. It truly feels like its your own little slice of paradise. The rooms are beautiful, warm and cozy and come with all you could possibly want or need. The B&B is not far from some amazing hikes near Tumbler Ridge and makes for a nice day trip

We spent two nights here in June, and because we were out and about during the days, we absolutely underutilized all of the amenities! You could easily spend your holiday right there at the B&B. Private, quiet cabins, comfortable beds, plenty of outdoor seating areas, a firepit, full kitchen accessible to guests, bbqs, lakeside hot tub, nicely landscaped site including a long lilac hedge in full fragrant bloom in June. Hearty breakfasts tailored to guest requests, cooked and served by hosts Dwight and Janet in a separate kitchen/dining area. Good conversation, too! Would stay here again in a heartbeat; I wish all B&Bs were this fantastic!

This B&B was recommended by family who stayed here before, and it was by far way past my expectations. My husband and I rarely get a night away without the kids, and this was just what we needed. We are both outdoorsy and found there was enough to keep us busy, and also relax. The cookhouse has many different books to look through, I found that very relaxing by the fire. The hot tub and sauna were also a very nice feature, and when the lake is not froze you can go out on a paddle boat, or even fishing. There is about 3 separate fire pits if you want some privacy if there are other guests. We only met Janet and she was very accommodating. She was very respectful in the fact to give you your privacy so that was so nice! She asks what time you would like your breakfast and she even lets you pick the menu if you would like.. The best part is you don't have to cook or clean! HOW AMAZING.. My husband and I can not wait to go back this summer, as well as maybe even a girls trip for me and some friends! The perfect experience :)…

We only spent one night at Rising Moon and are already planning a Girls Weekend for the summer. Living in Grande Prairie, it was a quick drive of under an hour. It was the first snow of the year and Janet even called to make sure we were safe on the drive. When we arrived, Janet and Dwight met us at the cabins and gave us a quick tour. We stayed in the Bear's Den room. The rooms are roomy, with a fireplace and large bathroom. The coffee centre and small fridge were handy as well. That being said, there is a cookhouse between the two cabins that guests have full access to. You can cook your supper in there or use the BBQ right outside your cabin door. There is a firepit just below the cabins with lots of chairs. We didn't take advantage of the hot tub or sauna this trip. I love that if you want the hot tub to yourself there is a little signal you can provide to others. Cool idea! Breakfast the next morning was huge! Waffles, hash browns, sausages, eggs, fresh fruit, ice cold orange juice, hot coffee. I enjoyed the community table where we visited with the people in the other cabin and Dwight and Janet. Scarlett even came in for a visit. Made me miss my pup at home. Dwight and Janet are friendly and gracious hosts. We look forward to this summer and returning!…

Every detail has been thought of at Rising Moon – from the “oh so comfortable” bed to the wood burning sauna. We could go on with everything there is to do just on the property itself, one could stay here a week or more and be completely content. Do realize that is it breakfast that is served, however, everything (full kitchen, BBQs) is provided to bring your own fixings for lunch / dinner….right down to the martini glasses! And what a breakfast it is! Dwight chopping and Janet cooking everything to perfection. Every breakfast was spectacular! If you are in the area, this is a must stay. Right on Swan Lake for a little fishing, hunting in the area, walking, and of course, the ever elusive Northern Lights (we saw a few….). Thank you Janet and Dwight!! Note: signs are great now. take Swan Lake Road (not the park) and the B&B signs are easy to find. The GPS coordinates worked great on our unit, however, we didn't really need it.…

Janet and Dwight are the most accomodation hosts ever. We were invited for dinner as well. It is a beautiful place to stay. A perfect idyll. We will be back. Breakfast was yummy and they bent over backwards to accomodate my exacting dietary requirements. Sarah and brian say thank you

This was the first B & B my husband and I stayed at together. We were completing a road trip around BC and took a break from camping to stay at this B&B. The room was fantastic and the property was beautiful - the hot tub was the cherry on top! The massive breakfast spread was delicious too. If we find ourselves back in Dawson Creek we will definitely be back.
