We didn't expect too much - a quiet little place, which is what we wanted really as part of our road trip. We had a really nice room, quiet, spacious and yes, really quite decent. The restaurant attached provided a good evening meal - really just what we wanted there too - nothing fancy, good, honest food. The Duty Manager (and... More

Stayed four nights from November 20th to the 24th. South side, bottom unit with two beds. The room and beds were fine but there was no plug for the bathtub as the drain was slightly corroded. A little noisy but we were so tired from getting up early to go hunting it really didn't bother us. No complaints and we... More

We stayed in a ground level room with an exterior door which allowed for us to un pack our luggage easily. The room was comfortable but a bit loud with really thin walls. Our room had a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The wifi worked well . The hotel is close to a few restaurants such as the Husky restaurant which... More

Thank you for your comments. We appreciate the fact you cared enough to let us know about your experience. Our main level rooms are certainly popular for just that reason and they do sell out early. We do regret the noise inconvenience that you experienced. We look forward to seeing you again. More

We stayed in a room with a queen size bed, it was a clean room, had nice amenities like a kitchenette, flat screen TV, desk, small kitchen table, little fridge, toaster, hair dryer in washroom, so overall was positively surprised. Staff at the front desk were professional, not friendly but not rude either. Our only complain was that we couldn't... More

I was in a ground-level room facing the parking lot, and I don't know if other sections have been renovated or not, but this one needed a gutting 40 years ago. It is kept clean, but when carpet, furniture, and fixtures are from the '70s, there is only so much paint that can be plastered on cracks and gaps before... More

We were pleasantly surprised to find this motel to be quite a bit of alright. Rooms dated but comfortable, clean, & providing coffee maker, fridge, WiFi & all one could expect in a room for the reasonable rate charged. Our big requirement is for accommodation that is pet friendly which this Sandman is offering good clean areas to walk &... More

This is a motel, so please adjust your expectations to it. For a motel, it's a good one. Clean rooms, decent beds, and the rooms are really not as small as they can be in other motels. Reception staff were willing to help with requests.

I am surprised that reviewers gave a high rating to this place - rating it #2 in Cache Creek. It is really just a motel with tiny rooms, which has seen much better days. It is very much overpriced for what you get, few amenities. The Heartland Restaurant, which is part of the hotel, is poorly run. The door was... More

At checkin I was quoted what I felt was an extremely high rate and when I asked for a CAA or Government rate I was told that if I didn't like the rate I was quoted she could add a few dollars to it! Tired after a long day of travelling we deceided to stay -the room was clean, but... More

I only stayed one night when passing through town. Stopped in without a reservation during a car-show weekend, and was able to get a room without a problem. Because of demand, they said they would not offer a CAA rate or any other discount. My room was extremely small, the smallest of any North American hotel room I've ever had,... More
