I echo the previous reviews. This place is a pleasant surprise, well-maintained, clean, with lots of space both inside and out. Pride of ownership is obvious with the friendly, accommodating manager. Beds were comfy, the location was quiet and we could sleep with the window open because the bedroom window opens onto the big forest behind the building. Lot of... More

We were pleasantly surprised here. Proprietors are friendly and accommodating. The rooms are large,my bed was very comfortable. The room was really clean, there was obvious evidence of upgrades (bathroom and TV). Things were painted and tidy. Am happy to recommend this accomodation.

Room was older but great for the family ... We travelled with an infant and the way the room is divided was perfect. It's like a small apartment with a small kitchen including oven full fridge dishes and utensils ... Living room had a couch and bed .. Another bed in the bedroom which is separated by a wall with... When my wife and I pulled up to this place and saw all the construction pickup trucks in front of so many of the rooms, meaning lots of young male workers, we were a little nervous about how quiet things would be. There's a lot of road construction going on in the area. But I guess these guys really have... More

The staff were amazing at making our stay comfortable. We had a double room. The main room you walk into had a queen size bed, flat screen TV, closet, kitchen table with 2 chairs; kitchen was just off of it. Full size fridge, stove was interesting to use but forgot to mention that to them (knobs didn't work properly so... More

Disappointed that I had no running water to shower. Manager said the well had debris in it. Sad that I got lung infection. No fan in the bathroom. Visable black mould growing on the bathroom. Poor ventilation in the small room. The feed back I recieved from the manager was " next time we will give you a clean room"!... More

After a long day and no rooms at the number one recommended motel we were sent to the Wanakena Mote. Receptionist was friendly and helpful, rooms were typical motel rooms, but very well kept and clean. Very quiet and easy access to highway. Will go directly here next time in Burns Lake. CCG

Since there was only one review I was a little hesitant about this place. The lady who checked us in was very friendly and sweet, and even though I had reserved a regular room, she upgraded us to a kitchenette suite at no extra charge. The room was very spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. Very pleasant stay... More

I came across this motel whilst travelling throughout Canada. It was a late evening and my friend and I were looking for somewhere to stay when we noticed this motel. The reception was already closed so I pressed the bell. A very nice lady (whom I probably woke up) came to the door and gave us a very nice twin... More
