Ainsworth Hot springs was an overnight stay after a long day of driving, not a destination trip. Frankly there is seemingly very little to do in Ainsworth other than taking in the scenery and the Hot Springs. For an older property, I was pleasantly surprised by the basic rooms which have been renovated within the past year or two. The... More

My wife and I went to Ainsworth for her birthday and had an amazing time in the resort. The newly renovated rooms are wonderful. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was spa quality. It is just a short walk from your room on the 3rd floor to the hot springs. The restaurant has amazing food. All in all... More

We have visited many times, and always in the winter. The place is gorgeous when it is snowing! At Christmas time, the staff decorate the place with lights and other decorations to bring you into the festive mood. The hot springs cave make this a unique hot water area, and one that we have not seen elsewhere. You can wade... More

It does sound as if romance was in the air, for sure. It can be quite lovely in winter, as you mentioned. We're glad you had the time to really enjoy what the the whole area has to offer. Thanks for your post. Maybe we'll get to see you again soon. Winter's coming! More

Very nice, hygienic, beautiful hot spring on the way to Nelson, from Kaslo. Surrounded by huge forests, facing the beautiful lake, just leave you self to the hot springs. We have only spend couple of hours over there, and everything about the service was fine.

We booked 4 days (2 would have been better pick) and arrived to find that the caves had just opened that day. Room was nice with views of the lake (wish there were balconies) and bed was very comfortable. Headed straight for the hot springs (and cold plunge) and tried out the restaurant for dinner as there are no other... More

We always keep coming back for the R&R, beautiful scenery, luxurious accommodations, and the healing properties of the springs and caves. The cold plunge is a must and the ability to contrast the body so drastically has many health benefits and increases circulation immensely! We love this place and will always return!

We had planned on staying in Kaslo last Saturday night, but of course, with no reservation, we could not get a room. Ainsworth hot springs had rooms at varying prices available. We chose a room on the second floor with a view of the lake. The renovated rooms were very inviting and welcoming. Another pleasant surprise was our dinner. We... More

Firstly this is not a resort in the true sense. The caves were closed for which we did receive a discount. There was no deck to sit out on; no microwave in the room. Breakfast was not included and meals were pricey . There were too many rules involving the pool. This could be a nice place if some changes were... More

This was a return visit. The cave was closed for renovation this time and we missed the hot pool and cold plunge by the cave. The main pool was hotter and we used the cold mist sprayer to cool us down.We stayed in a nice clean room at pool level with a view of the lake and the mountens. The... More

I am aware that staff read these and I know that they will know who wrote it. I have written a review before but want to update the review. First this is a hotel motel with refurbished rooms. Three stars. Very clean and tidy but a bit dated. When I compare them to similar resorts they are on par or... More
