A great location looking out over the lake. The grounds include natural hot springs bubbling forth from a cave which you can wade into. Unfortunately this natural wonder has been channelled into a hideous blue re-lined pool and the cave is reinforced with concrete and rock cladding. Oh well, ignore the crowds and the human touch and let the waters... more

I am sure this facility was quite a draw perhaps 10-20 years ago. Now it is tired, dated, a bit grubby and over-priced. The staff were efficient but not particularly friendly. The rooms spartan+. Over all the hotel is getting thread bare and probably needs a significant face lift. The attached hot springs were interesting... for an hour or so.... more

My family of five as well as my mom and dad just got back from our "vacation" and have never been treated so cruel in our whole lives. We had joining rooms which were extremely dated and look nothing like the pictures. When we arrived and my mom pulled back the sheets to her bed it looked as if the... more

It was absolutely awesome. I see in some of the other reviews they don't reccommend it for the younger crowd, but I disagree. I went with my Mother, Father, brother, and best friend. It was amazing. The hotel was nice, and it saves you a bit of money since you don't have to pay for the pass everyday to get... more

We traveled to Ainsworth Hot Springs in Mid September 2008. We found the people there nice and very willing to assist us in every manner. The facility looked to be recently updated and was clean. We had a premium room without the lake view. It was just what we needed as we were never in the room to take advantage... more

After a few years of being "home-bound" by twins, my husband surprised me with a last minute get away to the Kootenays. His (and now my) destination of choice was Ainsworth Hot Springs Resort. There were chocolate dipped strawberries awaiting us when we arrived, and chilled champagne in the room.. with the sweetest note from my husband, all set up... more

I recently stayed at the Ainsworth Hot Springs (on the third floor) and was impressed by the beautifully decorated rooms. I was told they were recently refurbished, and they are stunning - in white & gold! Perfect for my weekend retreat with my partner!! Not to mention the spectacular views - waking up to views of the lake & mountains... more

The hotel was average (definitely not a resort). The rooms were very clean but the age is definitely showing. If you are looking for a high end resort this is not the place to go. If you are looking for a little getaway with not a lot of crowds or touristy stuff then this is a 'diamond in the rough'.... more

The resort is dated and worn-out looking. There is nothing special whatsoever about the look of the building or the rooms which have dated carpet, curtains and bedding. There is only one pool and the hot springs caves - the pool was disappointingly small, perhaps two times the size of a backyard pool and crammed with both hotel guests and... more
