We booked this campsite to try out our new RV...after arriving we soon learned that this campground is run down and overpriced! After going for a walk we also discovered that the dumping station was also out of service, when we asked if there was somewhere else we could dump they directed us to go to Flying Jay... We then... The Resort was under extensive renovations during this time as we were upgrading the power and sewer facilities to better serve our customers as well as bringing in new buildings to offer more services to enhance the customers experience. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience that you may have experienced and would ask that you revisit the Resort... More

There is so much to say about this 'resort' that I really don't know where to start. Let's talk about the money first. The place is a money-grab. They charge you for everything except the showers, but then the showers are often locked and you're given feeble excuses as to why. First hand, we were given excuses by the management.... More

We regret that you did not enjoy your camping experience and acknowledge that everyone has a right to their opinion and we do respect yours. I would like to address some of your questions and concerns about the facilities. We do not allow anyone to bring in outside firewood not only due to issues of disease or bug infested wood... More

This is a campground that only wants your money. Raw sewage back ups at many spots throughout the campground. Water and power outages every other day literally. Very small campsites,if you do not want to rent monthly they will try to stick you in a site with no services. They bank on being the only campground available so they charge... More

We would like to apologize for the inconvenience of the Resort upgrades during your stay. It was necessary to upgrade the sewer system and upgrade the 15amp power sites to 30 amp to better serve our customers. The gravel trucks were necessary to bring in the fill required to level the ball field to make it safe and enjoyable for... More

We have kids and grandkids in the area, wanted to see them before the snow starting falling. Pulled into this horrible campground after driving around for an hour because there was not proper signage on either of the two highways. Their claim is that they are environmentally friendly, NOT!!! The wash houses were dirty, the wood that we bought from... More

We regret that your experience was less then enjoyable. The signage issue is something that we have been working on, although there is provincial signage on Highway 21 directing people to turn onto Highway 629 leading directly to the Resort and on Highway 630 (Wye RD) directing people to turn onto Range Road 215 leading directly to the Resort and... We camped two nights at the Half Moon RV park and can only say it was a gross experience: The bathrooms were not cleaned or maintained. Water was left standing in the shower stalls because of poor drainage and backed up plumbing. There was no soap to wash our hands and the garbage had not been emptied in several days.... More

Well, I really did enjoy the campfires, lake, trees and friendly camping neighbours!! But, after a month of intermittent electricity, sporadic water outages lasting 10 min to 2 days, a never-working sewer line that had to be pumped out daily and overflowed when it wasn't done (even though we didn't use it at all), continuous heavy equipment that only seemed... We stayed here in the month of august 2014 for a week. The place is run down. The bathrooms were never really cleaned unless you count the cleaner dumping soap on the floor for the smell. More mosquitos in the bathroom then outside screens were broken and for 3 dollars could have been fixed but I guess with the owners... More

A nice little hidden gem close to Edmonton. Nice big camp sites and a great big load of firewood for $20. Friendly people, great place to camp out for a few days if you're in the area. I highly recommend it. Oh, only a 4... the roads were very rough - but management says repairs are in the works.

Park is full of seasonal workers. The place is not private, no trees. Amenities are costly and not worth the money. Way too expensive for what you get. Stay away from this place. Wish I would have read the reviews first. No dumping station. Store items are way overpriced. The place is all tore up and nothing is kept up.... More

After staying at Half Moon "resort" now for over two months, I need to say my piece. I only hope people are smarter than we were and check these reviews before they come. This could be a beautiful place, if someone who actually cared about more than making money ran it. It has great potential, but with Jack running it,... More
