The staff is excellent , no question. They need to refurbish and renovate the place to warrant the prices charged. The restaurant is great, no complaints here. They need to spend a few $$$$ and make this a more attractive place.

Room was actually quite nice. Well appointed and clean. Hotel itself is dated, but actually shows very well. Continental breakfast was pretty good deal as well. Supper was a different story. Food was bland and no imagination. Wait staff were awesome though!

They do not accommodate guests who work very early hours They offer continental breakfast, but you cannot take it with you?? HOTEL POLICY??? REALLY?? They are somewhat behind the times. Most hotels have yogurt, fruit, waffles etc. Not these guys. I will insist my company put me anywhere but here. I will say, the rooms were clean, and the beds... More

This place was fantastic, casual but the food was really well prepared, nothing fancy, but just really good meal, I had chicken Parmesan came with 2 sides, I chose Cesar salad and seafood chowder. Really good chowder, I've lived in Newfoundland, and this was one of the best! The chicken was moist and tasty! The only complaint, very small is... More

I stayed here while working in the area and found it surprisingly good for the price the only issue I had( as I stayed in three different rooms) was the pillows where pretty much worn out and need to be replaced, but very quite and friendly staff, I would stay again.

A group of friends (12 of us) recently went to the restaurant at the Tamarack for a birthday lunch. We had a choice of eating from the menu or the daily buffet. The menu has a good variety of items to choose from with a separate seniors' menu for the older patrons and there was also quite a variety on... More

We didn't expect so much for what we paid. Room was great and breakfast beyond expectations and included in the price. 3 Blocks to downtown and it is walkable. Add it all up and you'll know why we would certainly stay here again!!

What a terrific hotel this was! We had a double queen room with a mini-kitchenette (small fridge and micro). Either the owner or manager (or both!) cares and it shows. There's attention to small details everywhere. They even had someone come in and do stenciling on walls and other pieces. One minor thing I appreciated in particular was a make-up... More

Initially tried Best Western but they did not have a restaurant. The rate here was better and so was the reception. Included with our room at $110 a night was a coupon for a hot breakfast. Not yourbagel and coffee breakfast, but eggs and choice of bacon/sausage/ham. We appreciated the restaurant being open when we arrived at 8 p.m. after... More

This is a very large hotel along one of the main streets in Rocky Mountain House. The hotel features a restaurant, lounge and liquor store and there are amenities of all kinds nearby. Initially I thought the room rates were a little pricey ($115 per night for one couple), but the room was great and the little details made it... More
