With hotel prices sky rocking in this area due to the gas boom, this is a great place to stay to feel at home. I stayed for 2 nights and the owners were gracious and breakfast was better than any hotel. I have recommended this to other members of my company that go to Minot for business and the evening... We had no expections that Minot would be more than just a stepping stone en the way towards the Canadian Rockies. But staying at Dakotah Rose was a superb experience in itself. All rooms and the house in general is cosy with a nice old-fashioned touch and atmosphere. Our room on the top floor was like visiting your grandparents in... More

. Very clean, quiet and friendly. Nice 1906 home recently rebuilt following 2011 flood that destroyed much of the region. Other homes and businesses are still recovering. We skipped breakfast because we had to leave early to stay on schedule. Carol put together bag breakfasts for us which took us 100 miles west before we stopped for fuel.

This old stately home is being meticulously restored after the flood in 2010. The woodwork is elaborate and rich in color. The room was confortable, though the air conditioner was quite noisy, something that is inherent to older homes, I guess. Ear plugs were provided which eased the hum. The grounds are large and decorated with flowers, sitting areas and... More

We enjoyed our stay in this historic home. The furniture and decorations were a joy to view...I liked the cross stitch pictures. Breakfast was like being at home. We enjoyed talking with the other guest. We got lost on the way and called the house; Jim, our host, helped us find the way to his home.

We so much enjoyed our stay in his grand old home. Despite the devastating flood of a few years ago, the house and hosts warmly welcomed us and made our stay memorable. Much love and enormous effort has gone into keeping this gem as a warm and welcoming resting place!

We stayed in the Dakota Rose both before and after our trip because of its proximity to the railroad station (about a 20 minute walk). The walk passes many homes still recovering from the 2011 flood. This historic house has recovered and offers the most comfy beds and the best breakfast in town. The hosts are friendly and helpful with... More

Our family (2 grandparents, 2 adults, 2 kids) had a great stay here in 3 rooms. The house is nicely decorated in Victorian fashion (but not complete over-the-top Victorian style!) The proprietors are friendly and informative about the house's history, the area etc., but not overbearing. When we visited, the exterior of the home was being repainted due to recent... More

Our daughter & husband stayed here last fall & recommended Dakota Rose to us. We are from California & came to see our Granddaughter at Minot State & bring her home for the summer. Jim & Carol were very accommodating & made sure we had everything we needed & our special requests were met. The Garden Room was beautiful &... More

We can't say enough about the Dakotah Rose B/B!! We were so comfortable and treated well; great breakfast and comfy bed. We will definitely be looking up this B/B the next time we need to overnight in Minot. It is within walking distance also to a great pizza restaurant as well. Thanks to Jim and Carol for a wonderful stay!!... More
