We enjoy B&B's and this one ranks very high. The house was built in 1906 and is beautifully maintained. There are several sizes of rooms available. We stayed in the Lavender Room with a bath just down the hall.(Bathrobes are provided to maintain modesty.) Carol and Jim are wonderful hosts and Carol is a super cook. We really enjoyed our... More

We stayed at Dakotah Rose on June for our 15th Wedding Anniversary. The beautiful turn of the century home is very inviting. Service was exceptional, for examle, we arrived in Minot early and my wife had a work commitment. Carol arranged for a place for her to complete the conference call in the common area. We stayed in the Butler's... More

Sometimes, it's the unexpected that provides a treasure trove of an experience. Stories from Jim, a delightful breakfast from Carol, and a great location made this one-night stay well worth it. We met a couple from Brooks, Alberta traveling via Honda Goldwing, and a young gentleman from LA staying the same night. History, architecture, and love of place come together... More

Please do not stay here!!Overpriced...cold..the beds were lumpy and uncomfortable...and worst of all the owners are some of the rudest people I have met..I felt like I was staying in a prison...Don't try staying there if they find out you're not married...horrible place

With hotel prices sky rocking in this area due to the gas boom, this is a great place to stay to feel at home. I stayed for 2 nights and the owners were gracious and breakfast was better than any hotel. I have recommended this to other members of my company that go to Minot for business and the evening... We had no expections that Minot would be more than just a stepping stone en the way towards the Canadian Rockies. But staying at Dakotah Rose was a superb experience in itself. All rooms and the house in general is cosy with a nice old-fashioned touch and atmosphere. Our room on the top floor was like visiting your grandparents in... More

. Very clean, quiet and friendly. Nice 1906 home recently rebuilt following 2011 flood that destroyed much of the region. Other homes and businesses are still recovering. We skipped breakfast because we had to leave early to stay on schedule. Carol put together bag breakfasts for us which took us 100 miles west before we stopped for fuel.

This old stately home is being meticulously restored after the flood in 2010. The woodwork is elaborate and rich in color. The room was confortable, though the air conditioner was quite noisy, something that is inherent to older homes, I guess. Ear plugs were provided which eased the hum. The grounds are large and decorated with flowers, sitting areas and... More

We enjoyed our stay in this historic home. The furniture and decorations were a joy to view...I liked the cross stitch pictures. Breakfast was like being at home. We enjoyed talking with the other guest. We got lost on the way and called the house; Jim, our host, helped us find the way to his home.

We so much enjoyed our stay in his grand old home. Despite the devastating flood of a few years ago, the house and hosts warmly welcomed us and made our stay memorable. Much love and enormous effort has gone into keeping this gem as a warm and welcoming resting place!
