This was our second visit to Sri Lanka as we enjoyed it so much the last time. We decided to take my mother with us to show her how nice the country was. We travelled with Mercury Direct and had private transfers from the airport to the hotel this took approx one and half hours. This was our first trip... more

My husband and I stayed at The Blue Water Hotel for the second time in 6 months because we liked the ambience, quality of service and good food! All diets are catered for and if you love puddings, your waistline may easily increase by a few inches as the spread is fabulous. The friendliness of the staff is the icing... more

We spent 11 nights at the Blue Water and had a great time. We requested to move here from our originally booked hotel The Riverina as we were not happy there and were really pleased we did. The hotel is really lovely. The rooms could do with a little updating but have everything you need and are really clean. We... more

We spent 2 weeks at the Blue Water on our 4th visit to Sri Lanka. It was quite simply the best hotel we have stayed for many years. The service was immaculate and the variety of food available at all meals was outstanding. We were all inclusive with Mercury Direct, definitely the best value of any travel company. On the... more

The Blue Water Hotel has to be one of the best beach hotels i have seen, very classy and exquisitely designed hotels in sri lanka. My friends and I were there for about a week, the rooms and pool were amazing, the beach was nice, but the stray dogs were a little scary. The staff were so friendly and accommodating... more

We have just returned from the Blue Water hotel and can honestly say we had a great time. The food is excellent a great choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner and with the different themes it was wonderful. The bedroom although could do with a little updating are clean and each has a seaview. There are some upgraded rooms which... more

Excellent accomodation and service, food first class, wonderful staff. Went out and about - contact Rucchi, on beach- no worries with him first class dealings, took four of us to amazing places and really looked after us. Have tried but can find nothing to moan about! Kath/Ken more

The food at the Blue Water was consistently excellent, and services generally good. All the waiting staff would stop and chat, and all have a pretty good understanding of English; certainly much better than our Sri Lankan!! I would recommend going fully inclusive at the Blue Water, as there is not really anywhere I would fancy eating outside the hotel!... more

The hotel is a superb place to stay with great service and some excellent staff. A touch of the old colonial as well. Some people were let down by the guy on the beach doing trips ( not turning up ) but most were not. He seems ok, but remember they are a ' gang ' in the true sense... more

A well appointed hotel, a couple of hours from Colombo. Well designed and yet somehow a little anodyne. Our room more than met our requirements, with a sea-view and balcony overlooking the lovely pool. Despite being very attentive (I am not sure we opened a door ourselves for the week we stayed), the staff did not give the impression their... more
