Stayed here when we first arrived in Sri Lanka. What a great induction to this great island. Leo and Myrjam were wonderful hosts. Each chalet is delightful, the setting just beautiful and the pool great. Eating breakfast in the dining area is wonderful and so pleased we opted for Leos dinner on both evenings. Myrjam arranged for us to be... More

Wow what a great little lodge with 7 bungalows which are private, spacious and clean! The location at the river is fabulous. There's a wonderful pool and the beach is close enough too! I just loved the tranquil vibe of the place, the perfect spot for me to chill after buzzing Mirissa. A big yes for this place!

We had another great stay in Ging Oya lodge after a two year gap. It was as beautiful and as relaxing as previously and the perfect start to a holiday in Sri Lanka. All aspects of the stay eg food, hospitality etc were great , but I would like to particularly highlight the value for money. Although the cost of... More

The warm welcome given to us at 6am at the start of a very 'special' family holiday revisiting our birthcountry following a 58year absence set the tone for the rest of our visit to beautiful Sri Lanka. We spent two days acclimatizing to the weather conditions and travel weariness. The lodges all set amongst the jungle on the banks of... More

Really good place to start or finish a Sri Lanka trip, just a half a hour from the airport. We started our holiday here in the beginning of November, in the tail of the rainy season, and could really acclimatize by relaxing by the nice swimming pool. We enjoyed the animal live around us, including the cow and the dogs.... More

For our first night in Lanka we wanted an accommodation close to the airport, but far enough from the big crowd. Ging Oya Lodge was the perfect choice! When we arrived, Myrjam and Leo gave us a warm welcome, quickly followed by there kind dogs. After settling in our room, which has a very nice garden-like bathroom, we walked around... More

this was our third visit , which is a record for us because we like exploring different areas / hotels, so don't even get a second look normally, but the lodge by the river with the great hosts , wildlife , pool , lovely fresh food can't be beaten for a peaceful haven to 'get away from it all' and... Ging Oya Lodge was a lovely, peaceful way to start our holiday in Sri Lanka and we referred to it often on the rest of our trip. Leo and Myrjam provide perfectly furnished chalets with a private verandah to watch the birds and Eloise, the rescued cow. Everything is provided including air conditioning and mosquito nets and great fluffy towels.... More

What a wonderful way to end our five-week holiday in Sri Lanka. Ging Oya Lodge is perfection. A beautiful, comfortable, peaceful oasis, run by a lovely couple. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone hoping to have a relaxing couple of days away from it all.

Coming back for the 5th or 6th time, we spent 5 nights here in August. Leo and Myrjam are wonderful hosts who will help with anything you request. The rooms are very spacious, the outdoor shower is amazing, the pool is large and clean and the (home cooked) food is excellent. The location of the lodge, in the middle of... More
