We spent the beginning and the end of our trip to Sri Lanka at the Ging Oya Lodge which is only a short taxi ride from the international airport. As soon as the taxi (arranged by the lodge) dropped us off we felt immediately at home with the warm welcome given by Leo, Myrjam and the dogs. The rooms are... More

This is my fifth visit to Sri Lanka and I have finally found the perfect place. A short trip from the airport to a peaceful paradise with beautiful gardens, an excellent pool, wonderful hosts and great food. I can't recommend this place highly enough. More

Our family (kids 6 & 9) stayed at the start and end of our holiday last winter. We all loved it. Leo and Myrjam are charming and interesting hosts who go out of their way to accommodate you. The location, hospitality and ambience were all spot on. Relaxing, friendly and unpretentious – all you need. We initially stayed as it... More

Ging Oya Lodge is the ideal place to begin and end your holidays in Sri Lanka. It is situated close to the airport (airport pickups can be arranged) and has a beautiful serene environment. The owners (Myrjam and Leo) a lovely Belgium couple, have turned it into a little paradise. With the river on one side, beautiful garden with Myrjam’s... More

Discovering this small and sweet and intimate hotel has been a godsend for me. I stayed here at the start of my trip in May and then at the end of the trip in June, only being 30 minutes from the airport makes it a haven after such a long flight, the gardens are exotic and huge, you can wander... We loved our stay in the independent bungalow styled room set among coconut trees facing the Ging Oya River. The place was peaceful and serene with lots of place for kids to run around. The lodge though away from the city center has local homes as its neighbors. We got to taste the freshest of the Sri Lankan food in... More

We stayed in this place twice - first when we arrived in Sri Lanka, and second just before we left. It is by far the best accommodation we found in two months of travels through Sri Lanka and Kerala (India). The natural environment is gorgeous, set in a patch of jungle by a tranquil canal, while the buildings are designed... More

We stayed at Ging Oya Lodge for 6 nights at the end of a one month trip in Asia. It's the perfect place to relax. The rooms are good and the food is excellent, we had nearly all our meals at Ging Oya as the food was so good. Able to get into room early as we had an early... More
