The heat in the room was impossible to regulate. Wifi was terrible. The pillows & bedspreads in the rooms should have been replaced a year ago. Not even a coffee pot in the room & the "continental" breakfast left much to be desired. Would never stay at this establishment again

Traveling with a group of birders, staying in Kenmare is critical because this town is surrounded with several fantastic National Wildlife Refuges (e.g. Des Lacs, Upper Souris and Lostwood). This area is in the middle of the crazy oil wells/fracking development, therefore, the hotels/motels are either very basic - very close to dormitory, or very expensive to oil company executives.... I've stayed at the Quilt inn 4 or 5 times now. We are always greeted by a nice & helpful person. The rooms are clean and tidy. Most rooms have a microwave and fridge. There is a simple, but adequate breakfast available every morning -- it is even prepared at 530-- the super early time that we often leave in... More

We had been driving for 12 hours and just needed a place to rest our heads for the night. Got in at 11:00P with no reservation. The young lady at the desk was extremely accommodating, got us checked in promptly, was able to find us a rollaway bed, and brought extra towels. The room was clean and well maintained. I've... We had a long day on the road and a very disappointing stop about 45 mins away we were genuinely surprised at the wonderful reception at the Quilt Inn. The front desk person was prompt, kind and offered us our AAA discount without having to be reminded. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. One of the largest hotel... More

Made a reservation for Oct 4 2013. I have stayed at this hotel before without any issues but this time was very different. This is the first hotel on US 52 coming from Canada. I usually stay here for that reason. 8hr drive from Saskatchewan. Usually a nice place to stay and friendly staff. During check in I noticed that... More

... but everything was excellent (it just didn't 'feel' like a 5 motel) Traveling to this part of the country I did not dare not have reservations and this place was the closest to the border I could find online (But as I passed through Portal, it looked like there were rooms there, didn’t get a name) Nice clean motel,...
