This is a very old hotel with lots of history, but it's history is the best attribute it has. The rooms are antiquated, but they have been clean every time I've been here, and that has been the most redeemable quality I have found. This place can be pretty noisy, so I would avoid it for recreational purposes. I stay... More

A very pleasant interesting place to stay! The room was clean but very dimly lit and had a fishing theme. The hotel is very dated at 50 or so years old but unique, the staff was friendly and competent. The restaurant for breakfast was weak and a bit pricy. I slept well but there is railroad noise.

It is worth the extra couple of miles to drive into town and stay at the Gladstone. Not only is it cheaper than all of the chains right off the highway but it is friendlier and more accomodating. We enjoyed the room, comfortable and clean beds, good water pressure in the showers. Plus, when you wake up in the morning,... More

Rooms were clean and decor okay.. Restaurant opened late the evening we showed up - menu was uninspiring so we ordered a very mediocre pizza. We went elsewhere for breakfast. Hallway carpet was very stained on our floor and the sound of the train engines, boxcars, machinery, whatever??= being moved around during the night didn't help overall experience. This location... The desk clerk had our reservation in hand when we arrived, and our room overlooked the interior pool. We were surprised by the amenities provided for the price: pool, safe, etc. Although the property is dated, it was very clean. There are a lot of trades or construction guys staying there, evidenced by the note in the bathroom to please... More

AC unit needs to be checked as it did not remove the humidity... More

The rooms are clean, the beds are smallish. The pool area is nice. Its is painted up very bright and colorful. The paint colors in the rest of the place seem a bit off. Something that mom would have loved mid 90s? The bar is ok too not real loud and the drink prices are not bad for a hotel... More

We recently stayed at this hotel for a night. The room was gross. Even though it was a non-smoking room, it still reeked of cigarette smoke. The sheets didn't fit the bed correctly, they were too small, by morning we were sleeping on the bare mattress. We tried to call the front desk to see if we could get different... More

Stayed overnight and had reserved an exterior room directly through the hotel's website to be away from the interior rooms that surround the indoor swimming pool -- the interior rooms have sliding glass doors directly onto the pool. Upon arrival, I was informed that they hadn't had exterior rooms available for weeks, despite their website, and I was stuck. Air... More

Yup, it's Jamestown, North Dakota for goodness' sake. I had no idea what to expect, having never seen ND before, and I would recommend continuing on to Bismarck if possible. But moving cross-country with a carload of pets, I only wanted to drive the minimum required for company reimbursement (350 mi per day) and so Jamestown it was. On the... More
