We decided to stay here as a cheap stopover since we were only in Fargo for 1 night. The lobby area seemed decent when we checked in. When we went into our room it smelled musty. Then I went to check the beds and make sure there were no bugs. There weren't so that was good. There were however makeup... more

Stopped here on a drive to Minneapolis and checked in at 1:30 am. When we arrived we were sent to the rear of the property which was well lit. The remote for the TV was not working and the energy saving bulbs in the fixtures took a while to become fully lit but we were more interested in the clean... more

I landed at this hotel via Priceline. What I liked: the breakfast room and the food was great. Didn't like: the room was really small and outdated, although the bathroom was quite ok. All in all, depending on how much you end up paying for this hotel, will determine if you think it's great or awful. At the rate of... more

Found the room quite comfortable. The staff was real friendly. They had a problem with some of our group checkinbg in, but that got fixed quickly. I would stay there again. It wasn't all that bad of a room. Small bathrooms, but I am not there to live, only have a place to stay for the weekend. The continental breakfast... more

We successfully bid on a 2* hotel through Priceline, and were not pleased to see we would be staying in this hotel. We've stayed here twice before, both times through Priceline. It is quite the stretch to call it a 2* hotel, it's more on par with a Super8 or econolodge, and in some cases it is worse. On this... more

We arrived at 10 PM. The check in was slow, though the clerk was friendly enough. When we got to our assigned room we found that the room had a stale, awful smell and only one bed. I went back to the desk and asked if they had a different room, and - preferably - one with two beds. (I... more

We had two rooms, second floor, on a stopover from Winnipeg to Minneapolis. The hotel is easy to find, just off I29 and you can see it from the highway. It was fine for the purpose. Check-in was friendly and quick. The parking lot is large and well-maintained. Breakfast was included but we took one look and quickly headed to... more

Stayed in the Red River Lodge in Apr 2007 as a stopover on the way to Minneapolis. Had read that the hotel had recently been renovated. True...the lobby and breakfast area were which was great. Room was freezing when we checked in and had to wear our coats. Our room was near the back door of the property which didn't... more

OUCH!!! As a pilot, I've traveled a bit, and I tend to travel on the cheap when I'm paying for it. I'm not too particular - just give me clean and quiet; I can do without frills. So when Red River Lodge in Fargo ND bragged about their recent remodeling, I took the bait. Don't let their internet photos of... more

Looking for a good cheap place without giving up anything? Well then - here you go. A very nice clean stay with large king beds (2nd floor better) and huge TV's. Small breakfast area, but good food. Front desk people were friendly and a good help to local stuff. If you are watching the money and are tired - pull... more
