Stayed here middle of January for a kids hockey tournament. Nice clean rooms, nice public areas and good breakfast in the morning (patty very friendly). For the price paid it is a good value. Pool and Hot tub area clean and inviting as well. Gave the team a hospitality room as well for our equipment and relaxation area.

There are not too many choices of hotels to stay in Devils Lake and definately very few I would stay at. I prefer Priority Club properties so the HIE was my best choice. Hostess for breakfast was outstanding! She took care of getting us breakfast before the actual time to serve breakfast, because we needed to leave earlier. Everything was hot and fresh! Rooms were good, the only downside was the lighting in the room was minimal. Nice and friendly staff, we will be back again.

I have stayed at "many" HIE over the years. I was always impressed with the consistency of the chain. You knew what to expect every time. Very clean throughout. Efficient and friendly employees. Patty is a Great breakfast host and the hotel serves both hot and cold breakfast choices. Nice indoor pool and hot tub. Great fishing on the lake
