We stayed here for 2 nights to attend my nephew's wedding. The reception was held at the hotel so my whole family stayed. It was a generally good experience - nice old rambling hotel in what used to be a mill. Check-In was easy. We were traveling w/ our 2 kids and when booking I was told they didn't have... more

My friend and I were very pleased, the moment we drove up to the hotel. From the beautifully restored antique car parked at a jaunty angle near the entrance, to the lovely and serene outdoor patio, the Inn was a welcome haven to greet us after our long drive from Charlotte to Winston-Salem. The room, with its two huge four... more

Though I already expected a good stay, I was pleasantly surprised because it generally exceeded my expectations. The staff were courteous, and when I had a question or concern, they answered promptly and pleasantly. more

On a recent trip to Old Salem in Winston Salem, NC I had the pleasure to stay at a historic Inn called the Brookstown inn. It is located very close to the Old Salem visitor's center and historic district of Salem. Salem College is also near Old Salem. Brookstown Inn offers free parking in its large parking lot right next... more

It's so refreshing to stay in a converted historic building rather than a generic Holiday/Marriott/Choice/Motel 6 type of room. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with exposed brick on one wall and exposed pipes on the ceiling. The bathroom was huge, and although there were some cracked tiles it was extremely clean. The bedroom was tiny, but there was a... more

We loved the style . Historic register as a cotton mill renovated into very spacious and comfortable hotel. Ceiling must have been 18 or 20 feet. some exposed brick. Large comfortable modern bathroom with soaking tub. Free wireless high speed internet.. The things that could be improved were the wine and cheese. this nightly event could be so much better... more

I have stayed here before, and will again. Not the best breakfast so you may want to take a stroll over to Ollies the nearby (within walking distance) bakery for a good cup of coffee and a pastry. Oh and be sure to check out the managers special on the website, you may save a little money. more

We were very pleased that we chose to stay at the Brookstown Inn (we mainly based our decision on Trip Advisor comments!). We called to get directions and were mislead slightly, but were able to find it. When we checked in, we were told that a Queen room was not available, so they were upgrading us to a King Suite.... more

My boyfriend and I booked a room at the Brookstown for a quick trip to visit family in Winston-Salem. While driving into town, I called to see if our room was available for check-in and was told due to a malfunction in their cooling system that we could either stay in a room without air conditioning or stay at a... more
