While I often end up staying in a hotel chain for quick weekend trips, I chose this one after reading reviews here. It turned out to be the perfect spot and found it to be a charming hotel. From the wine and cheese and milk and cookies in the evening to the big, spacious room, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.... More

The Brookstown Inn has become our favorite place to stay while in Winston-Salem area. It is in walking distance of historic Old Salem and down-town restaurants, a short drive to Reynolda House, Village, Gardens, and is the best $$$$ deal available in hotels. The complimentary breakfast is good (even freshly sliced strawberries) as is the wine and cheese in the... More

We choose this hotel through Hotels.com. The price and setting were just right. This converted manufacturing building was a nice conversion. However, there are a lot of steps and that should be considered for people with limited mobility. We tried to enter our room through the back way to cut down on stairs but the door didn't work. The sofa... More

With all of the cookie cutter hotels clogging the travel hot spots it is refreshing to find a unique, quality hotel. The Brookstown Inn is such a place. If you like large rooms, 180 year old brick exterior walls in you room, modern bathrooms, cleanliness, comfortable beds and a quiet neighborhood then you will want to stay at this place.... More

The atmosphere was beautiful and all the staff were very nice. The continental breakfast every morning was quite a spread and my daughter loved the milk and cookies in the evening. The bedding was divine. I'll definitely be staying here the next time I visit Winston-Salem :)

My husband and I stayed here while visiting Winston-Salem to watch our son compete in the DII Indoor Track and Field Championship this past weekend. The staff was warm and friendly; the accomodations were charming. There is a complimentary wine and cheese reception every evening followed by cookies and milk later at night. We enjoyed both of these. The complimentary... More

I made a reservation weeks ago. Called to confirm from the road 2 hours before we arrived to let them know it would be 9:00pm before we arrived. When we got there, the young clerk said she didn't have a reservation!!! I asked her why she didn't tell me that when I called. No apology. She said they were booked... More

We really enjoined our time at the Brookstown Inn. Even though it is an old cotton mill they have done a great job updating the rooms making them feel modern with tall ceilings, large open windows, and spacious bathroom. Every night they provide wine and cheese as well as milk and cookies (unnecessary but prat of the fun, personal touch... More

This was my first time staying at the Brookstown Inn, my husband and I decided to stay the night for our one year wedding anniversary. We were SO happy with our choice! Our room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. It had a certain charm to it, one that you don't get at most hotels. Especially loved the brick walls... More

Not sure why you would stay anywhere else. For a very reasonable price I got a lovely room with character as well as a nice continental breakfast, wine/cheese and milk/cookies. I had no problems with the room temperature, although given the large windows in the loft-like space, I can see where this might be a problem on some of the... More
