From the architecture, to the confident welcome, through the wine and cheese tasting, nothing was out of place or too much trouble. All staff knowledgeable and eager to assist our stay, from downtown restaurants through to historic house visits. An amazing use of a characterful space resulting in large rooms, attention to detail, and feeling fully modern too. The courtyard... More

The Brookstown Inn is a charming historic place to stay in the Winston-Salem downtown area. It is a restored Mill that offers large rooms decorated with furniture from the 18th century. It is located in the historic community of "old Salem" but is within walking distance of downtown....it is appropriate for business travelers as well as the bed and breakfast... More

I really enjoyed my stay here -alas it was only for a day. Loved the room which was very spacious, with a lot of light. The bed was very comfortable - even the pillows, which are often mushy in hotels. The staff I interacted with were uniformly pleasant and helpful and my room was ready before the official check-in time,... More

Truly wonderful; beautiful huge room, luxurious and comfortable bed, modern bathroom and all of the friendly and welcoming touches of the best inns. Our room had an exposed brick wall, vaulted ceiling and beams, painted in colonial colors and 3 large windows to let in a lot of light. The room and bathroom were sensational and then to have the... Excellent hotel! Rooms have tremendous charm. A complete breakfast was a nice surprise. Beautiful setting, easy access to restaurants & entertainment, and attentive staff make this a wonderful value. Extremely accommodating for our business meeting.

What a pleasant change from the run-of-the-mill hotel chains. My daughter and I stayed one night here on the way to the NC beaches. Check- in was efficient and our room was ready when we got there. Wine reception was a very nice surprise, and the breakfast was billed as "continental" but had everything that we needed, even almond milk... More

Such a clever conversion from an old cotton mill to a really unique place to stay. We stayed in the East Wing in a split level suite bursting with character, including high ceilings and exposed brickwork. The upper sleeping area was quite small, housing a large bathroom and a comfortable queen bed - we slept great, waking up ready to... More

We stayed at the Brookstown Inn while visiting our daughter who is at Wake Forest. The Inn was lovely and the staff was friendly and efficient. The breakfast was very good. We enjoyed our stay and the area was perfect for my daughters morning run.
