Another memorable experience at the Zevely! I travel to the Winston-Salem area often. Staying at the Inn never fails to be a highlight. The home cooking and warmth of everyone there gives me the security of home with the privacy I appreciate. Thank you to Linda and your team!

Very pricey for a continental breakfast (most disappointing); staff was brusque; bathroom was closet sized. Would not recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone. We usually expect a hot, on-site prepared breakfast.

Very charming place! We stayed in the summer kitchen room, which was lovely. Breakfast was amazing, and we enjoyed chatting with the innkeeper. In response to another guest's comments about the hospitality, the innkeeper may not be effusive in the Southern fashion, but as a northerner myself, I appreciated her kindness and the stories she shared with us. I found... More

Awesome inn, very comfortable. The lady who helped with check in was very pleasant. The tavern across the street was very enjoyable. Top notch service and food. The breakfast at the inn was nice. The lady serving it was not unpleasant but not terribly gracious either. We're native North Carolinians and there may have been some cultural issues at play.... More

What a lovely, comfortable, friendly establishment. Easy to explore old Salem, to get downtown. Friendly, informative staff. We stayed in the Drs room. ...exceptionally comfortable bed/room. Bathrooms are small, not a lot of "amenities" but would go back and stay again....nice breakfast, afternoon cookies, great porches off back of house. And very dog friendly....in fact in the dining room is... More

We are delighted that you enjoyed our neighborhood dogs. Old Salem is very pet-friendly, and all the canines know exactly where to get their morning treats! We are happy that you enjoyed your visit. Dr. Zevely's bedroom is very special. Try to visit with us in the winter months so that you can enjoy the fireplace. More

I took my wife for an overnight getaway for fun, history and Quiet time. Sherry and Linda were an awesome team. Linda helped me by giving me the details and Sherry treated us like family. Thank you both. My wife and I will being doing this again. We stayed in the gunpowder magazine room and it was so peaceful and... More

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience here at the Zevely Inn. As I recall, this was your first visit to a Bed and Breakfast, and we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. Cherie told me how much fun she had with you during breakfast sharing stories and lots of laughter. We certainly look forward... More

Location is great. Inn is nicely furnished in period-style but with all the amenities one needs. Fresh fruit, juice, pastries and cereal are available for breakfast with your morning coffee. Inn manager will make sure you have a pleasant stay. Unlike many other older inns, the larger rooms here are quite comfortable for two people spending time inside. Porches with... More

We are local and planned a staycation where we did a tour of Black Mountain Chocolate, had a delicious lunch at West End Cafe, and walked around the shops and sites at Old Salem. We stayed at the inn and had dinner at Salem Tavern right across the street. The innkeeper was sweet and left out delicious brownies for us... More

What a treasure! This was our first time at the Zevely Inn and it could not have been better! We were greeted sweetly by Linda and shown to our beautiful room. We stayed in the Summer Kitchen and it was fabulous! It's amazing to think about the history of the inn and in particular the summer kitchen. What did it... More

This is a great place to stay when visiting Old Salem. It is also located directly across the street from the Tavern which is a good place to eat. The Inn's rooms are in fine shape and contain period fireplaces and other unique elements. The breakfast serving was okay but not great if you enjoy a hot breakfast.

I regret that you were disappointed in our weekday continental breakfast. We try to give many options on our buffet, and Cheri's sausage biscuits are always a hit. Perhaps on a future visit, you might choose a weekend stay when we feature a full hot breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings. More
