This is a great property to stay at if you will have some time to linger on the property. It probably makes less sense for the hurried business traveler. Stay in the main house if you're able, and take plenty of time to linger in the common spaces and stroll through the grounds. It's also a short walk from Reynolda... More

We stayed here for a meeting we hosted for a group of 2 people. The accommodations were wonderful and the service we received was excellent. We hosted dinners two nights and the food and service for our group was great. The attention to detail and personal attention was greatly appreciated. This is an old mansion, the eldest in town, but... More

We stayed during a recent Homecoming weekend at Wake Forest. The main building is a gorgeous well-preserved mansion. The breakfast and dining rooms are located here. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Our room was in the mews, which was the original stable/carriage house. The room was large, very quiet and well decorated with modern furnishings. The bed was comfortable. However, the... More

This is a wonderful blending of old meets new. The rooms are updated, yet still have a nice historical feel as does the whole campus. The staff is professional and very helpful. I look forward to staying here again.

I recently attended a training session at the Grayln facility and was very impresessed throughout my stay. The facilities are spectular and you feel like royality during your stay. My room was wonderful and the staff were all very friendly and professional. The evening meals were of the highest caliber not a morsel left on anyones plate. The grounds are... More

Located near the Wake Forest campus in Winston Salem. I was attending a medical conference and the organizers suggested that we stay here. My wife wanted to come along with me, and since she likes to travel with our dogs, when I made my reservations several months ago, I asked for a dog friendly room. About ten days before our... More

The Graylyn is a lovely hotel with a staff every hotel should strive to be like. While at the hotel for a week I never meet a single staff member that did not go above and beyond in their service. Everyone was very polite and informative. Always going out of their way to make sure my stay was just perfect.... More

My daugher and I went to visit Wake Forest University on the NC college tour circuit. We stayed overnight at the Graylyn, which is only minutes from the college. It was such a lovely surprise. It seemed like we were in the countryside, which could have been anywhere, instead of a town which really, sorry to say, is basically lackluster.... More

Amazing old country estate and stables that have been transformed into a hotel. Anyone searching for a unique experience needs to stay here. We stayed in "The Mews" which is the converted stables on the property. Very unique. Our room was in the new area, so accommodations are more modern. Well appointed. Comfy beds. Breakfast is included and was very... More

We had a nice weekend getaway to Graylyn. We were coming up for the NC Wine Festival, which was not so impressive, so we were happy to have the hotel to go back to. The setting is amazing and it is really fun to wander around and read about the history. They had a wedding going on at the time,... More
