Our Board has used Graylyn for long range planning sessions for over 20 years. This historic home, now a part of Wake Forest University, was built by Dr. Bowman Gray, the founder of the medical school that bears his name at Wake. Wonderful, cordial staff; fantastic food; charming and historic venue; and amazing accommodations. Take a step back to the... More

My husband and I just spent a night here on a mini anniversary trip while wine tasting in the Yadkin Valley. The grounds, manor house, and the Mews building were all GORGEOUS and extremely well kept. Staff was very friendly. Our room was quite comfortable with a wonderful bed. They ever offer a custom pillow menu, although we didn't take... More

My Wife & Myself stayed here in March, 2015 for 3 days. What a delightful experience. Everyone of the Staff was extremely courteous & could not do enough to make our stay a delighful experience. We stayed in The Mews which was an excellent choice. You could go over to the Reception Area there 24 hours a day and get... More

The stately mansion greets every visitor but not nearly as warmly as the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The halls are filled with numerous antiques and charm. The rooms are cozy but well-appointed (very European in style and size, i.e., don't expect to spread out!). There was a nice desk surface in my room but limited electrical outlets,... More

My daughter and I recently visited Graylyn and what a delight! The estate is beautiful and the staff is EXCEPTIONAL! We were even upgraded in our room choice. Breakfast is included in overnight stay - WONDERFUL food! The only complaint I would have is that our shower had mold in it. Not too concerning, but I wish it was a... More

We had a wonderful experience at Graylyn this past weekend. We were in Winston-Salem for the N. Carolina School of the Arts 50th Gala and were fortunate enough to secure a room at Graylyn. Entering the estate is an experience all in itself - driving down their lush, green driveway and rolling up to the beautiful stone manor house to... More

We had a great stay at Graylyn Estate. It was a beautiful time to be outside and walk around and take in this glorious place. All our needs were taken care of at every turn. My husband especially loved the butterscotch cookies. They are not to be missed! Had a great time. Lots to see and do in Winston-Salem.

Wonderful experience at Graylyn Estate. Terrific service, friendly staff, beautiful grounds and lovely room. Bicycles available. We stayed in the Mews which is a one minute drive on the estate. Very convenient as the hotel will pick you up in the golf cart. They even have breakfast at the Mews so no need to go back to the main house... More

We had heard of this place but words don't make it justice. It's absolutely gorgeous, impecable, unique, elegant, unforgettable! The staff is beyond wonderful! From the moment you pull up the front door they welcome you with wide smiles and a classy approach. Very helpful! So willing to accommodate our gluten free needs at meal times. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! Can't... More

I had never heard of Graylyn and it is a discreet looking property despite being on a large parcel of land. The main building is quite grand and this is where you check in. There is also a dining facility here where breakfast is served. Graylyn is most adapted to hosting groups or visitors to Wake Forest, so it does... More
