Here is a tip for all hotels. Have a sign big enough for people to see from the street. The RAMADA letters seemed about 6" high and difficult to read. Meeting room was ready for setup when we arrived and decorated for the holidays. Nice touch. NO FAN IN THE GUEST ROOM BATHROOM. That automatically lowers any review I do... More

Near the WFU cAmpus, this older and somewhat dated facility was still more than adequate. The rooms were huge and very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was okay...nothing special.

Large rooms but completely outdated and old. Afraid to touch anything in the room. Located close to downtown, very conveniently easy location. Service spotty, Check-in clerk was very competent and professional, morning shift clerk didn't care to even say good morning. Breakfast served in a large dining room had no coffee available and when asked the manager requested the attending... More

We are just leaving the hotel. The hotel looks great on the outside but they have the cheapest matress I've ever slept on! The tub would not drain, so we had to hold the stopper; the refrigerator does work (when it wants to), opened the refrigerator and water flew all on the floor; 3 towels, 3 hand towels, 2 wash... Only Graylyn and a Marriott are as close to the Wake Forest University campus.Although we reserved a king bed, they were "all out" by the time we got there and gave us a room with 2 doubles--not queens, skimpy, very hard doubles that felt like we were sleeping on the floor. The room was reasonably quiet even though the hotel is... More

I was traveling for business and needed something near Wake Forest and chose the Ramada Plaza. I was pleasently surprised with the nice lounge area and Spa located on property. Traveling alone for business this was nice for a pedicure and a glass of wine after work. I did not use the conference space but this property has a big... More

Hotel staff was friendly! That was only plus. Rooms were terribly small, smelled like mold. We killed several bugs. Outlets were all worn out and chargers for devices kept falling out. Bathroom made us feel claustrophobic! Wifi was spotty and hard to connect to.

We booked this hotel on Priceline due to it's good price and location for our son's activity in Winston-Salem. The hotel had friendly staff and had good bones, but is definitely in need of a makeover. It appears that Ramada is in the process, but it may take a while before it catches up to other newer hotels. The pool... More
