My wife and I just stayed here this past weekend and were very impressed with the service we received and the cleanliness of the entire hotel. As smokers what we really enjoyed was the patio furniture out front to allow guests to sit and socialize and smoke if you are a smoker. This hotel was right downtown within easy walking... More

The Marriott Winston-Salem excels in customer service. Upon entering the lobby, I was greeted SEVEN (yes 7) times before I reached the elevator. The valet service is professional, the registration was seamless, I cannot say enough about the welcoming, Southern hospitality that this hotel exemplifies. The food in the restaurant was excellent. They had recently changed to a bkfst/lunch service.... More

The hotel is located within easy walking distance of Winston-Salem's Twin City Quarter and its shops, restaurants, theaters and art studios. During a recent two-night stay, the room was well maintained and arranged, and staff was consistently friendly and helpful. Varied selection in the bar, including local beers. Regarding decor, the hotel is on the edge of outdated. Think 2002.... More

Thank you for your comments! We are indeed located in a great spot in downtown--within an easy 1/2 block to Winston-Salem's "Restaurant Row" on Fourth Street, offering everything from micro breweries and a wide variety of cuisine, to Trade Street's Galleries and Art shops! I hope you also had an opportunity to try our new signature restaurant--Graze--which is becoming a... More

Arrived with my mobility chair in tow. Was greeted by "Zac" he immediately unloaded my chair for me. Those working with him were gracious and courteous. "James" took my luggage and helped get my and my granddaughter settled in our room...he was extremely nice. All the staff were considerate of my needs! Check out was a breeze. "Zac" and his... More

A business trip sent me to this hotel in Winston-Salem, NC, which was the first time for both. Public parking garage is across the street from the hotel. A skywalk attaches the hotel to the garage. I thought it was affordable for 2 nights. The staff was welcoming and friendly when I arrived. I met the general manager and he... More

Was nice hotel although there were water problems when we checked in and the pool was closed staff seemed friendly. They did have a lack of staff on Saturday morning for the breakfast buffet which was surprising since they knew they had several events going on that weekend and I would have expected them to be prepared I actually waited... Don't get me wrong. The Marriott is a great hotel, a fabulous place to have a convention. There are enough places around the downtown area that you can find something to eat and you don't have to drive very far, if you want something different. I enjoyed hanging out at the bar, nice and open, and you have to be... More

I spent several days at the downtown Marriott. The staff is very friendly; if someone sees you, they usually say hello. The rooms are very comfortable, and the breakfast buffet at the restaurant is quite good (about $17 with tax). The front desk offered me a free upgrade, with complimentary access to the concierge lounge on the 17th floor (the... More

So, the good: friendly front desk and valet staff, plentiful and good breakfasts, reasonably comfortable rooms, and the ability to accommodate last minute Marriott certificates. The bad, rooms not as promised, only two of three lifts work, no real recognition of status, concierge lounge not open on weekends at all and not early on week days, pool unventilated so hot... More

I'm a very dissatisfied customer. When we checked in the A/C was broken in our room. An engineer was sent up and we were told the problem was fixed. After getting ready for a rehearsal dinner in the heat we left under the impression that the air was fixed. When we returned late that evening we found out quickly it... More
